Man this RUF is trying to kill me!

Having a hard time dialling this thing in round Suzuka. I'm suffering a lot under braking, the tail end wants to come round and slap me in the face! :p

I've tried adjusting the brake bias to no avail, I'm using the only setup available on that program Daunt suggested (setup sync). Trouble is with that I don't know if this setup is a qualifying one or race etc. When I put race fuel levels in it just passes scrutineering.

The setup that was shared to me (I can't remember which one of you it was sorry) for Sonoma isn't there anymore either.

At the moment I'm getting around the .10 .11 mark which isn't really good enough :icon_sad:

Saying that though, in the last laps of a race, all on my lonesome with old tyres I managed to catch this slide, it was a squeaky bum moment for sure :icon_lol:

You mean you didn't TRY to do that???

Awesome slide. But anyway I ran the C-spec for the hell of it for about 10 minutes at suzuka. I was having brake bias issues. I dialed it up to... i think it was at least 52 ish and finally was pretty stable when hard on the brakes. Feel free to try it out. The setup was for another track though so most of the settings I did not change.

Thanks man I'll give it a whirl :) And no I didn't mean to do that at all :icon_redface:

My steering wheel nearly came off the table trying to save it though :icon_lol:

I just took over a second off my best lap with that setup... comfortably! Thanks Daunt :) I'll be going into this race in 8 minutes with a lot more confidence now cheers :icon_cool:

No prob. Glad it helped. Probably could be improved, was only minor adjustments to my setup from donington... but I can see how the tracks are similar. The brake bias is very touchy on the c spec and considering how terrible it is compared to other cars, it is important to get right.

Yeah definitely. I was just in the top split race. Started 13th, finished 10th with a SR boost of +.13. .10 more to go :) I was 2 seconds slower a lap than everyone else, but I was consistent and picked up some places through people spinning out.

Bit gutted I finished over a minute behind the leader but oh well  Safety first and all that!

Another race, started 10th, finished 7th, a lot faster this time, and recieved a +0.60 boost to SR. Am now sitting pretty with 3.50 SR and ready for promotion with two days to spare. BOSH!

GT3 here I come :)

Nicely done. As a heads up, I'm pretty sure that promotions are at the end of next week, not this one. But since you can't gain SR in "week 13" you're all set.

I watched that race you gridded 13th and finished 10th. You were really patient and didn't fight to hold onto the positions which was smart driving.

The one thing about these cars as a general rule is they don't like harsh steering inputs particularly under heavy acceleration. The Ruf has always been easily upset under power so it's normal really, you got to get on it slowly.

I believe only official series running in week 7 (13) is the Mazda, so avoid it if you want your SR. As for Ruf handling, unless low on fuel, it likes to oversteer when slamming the gas pedal.

I'm honoured you took the time to watch it, the next race was far more interesting sorry :icon_redface: Had I known you were watching me I would of done a few more slides maybe lol

I knew I had until Tuesday to reach the SR threshold so glad I managed to get there in time.

You say next week we can't gain SR, I'm assuming we can still lose SR?

Yes, the Mazda races are fun, but it's like bumper cars out there

Ah no. Week 13 races are literally "just for fun" races. No SR or iRating gains at all. So you can use that to try out some gt3 races (whatever they might offer for week 13) though don't expect it to be super clean.

There are actually always official races during week 13 also. Usually 1 series for road and 1 for oval. Safety rating is affected and I believe iRating is too. By far the most of the content is unofficial though.
