Mazda Cup @ Okayama Short

Done a few laps on this weeks track together with Wotan.
I like it. Not a very fast track, but a lot of cornering to do.

Around 1:03 is the time to beat. So far I managed to do a 1:04.908.

The track is kinda narrow at some points, especially at some corners. Will be interesting how this is gonna turn out in a race.

I'm starting to get into the low 1:04's but can't manage more than that right now. I'm probably going to scrub speed for cleaner entries/exits to see if I can gain more that way.

Looking forward to practice this track with you guys. Was going to give it a try yesterday but was in too much pain unfortunately. A nice momentum track where smoothness is key, and time fully depends on cutting all those corners right. Should be interesting, and love the racetrack look and feel this has after that oval thingy.

Ya I can't wait to practice with you guys as well, this is going to make for some really close racing.

I managed to break into 1:43 last night but really don't know where to find more speed at this point?

So you got 40 seconds worse in one evening?

lol no I meant high 1:03's.

Either I can't type or I'm getting mixed up with Global Challenge.

I'll skip this week in the Mazda Cup and concentrate on the Skippy instead.

Well, after 1 practice session i'm in the low 1:05's, so lots of practice to do for me...
I saw some familiar fast guys, and they were doing mid 1:03's, so your 1:03 seems very decent, they were having many off tracks too while at it...

Looks like I've got the right line and gears, just a matter of getting every corner right and being smooth at it I guess. Don't think we're doing bad at this, especially as I see a lot of people spin while I barely have a problem with that at all, I guess all the sliding on charlotte is paying off when it comes to keeping control of the car...

I've been driving the Skippy the whole week now, and next week the Skippy races Spa. I think that beats the MX-5 on Lime Rock.
