Wow, pretty amazing everything is rendered live. It surely looks like a pre-rendered movie. When's the 7900 series suppose to come out?

I remain skeptical on this one even though the demo looks amazing. I remember a time not so long ago when NVIDIA and AMD would put out stuff like this and as awesome as it looked, it was all catered to run on their GPU's.

You'd be so impressed, you'd run out and plop down your wad and left nut on the counter salivating all down the front of your shirt in anticipation for the graphical goodness that lie ahead. You'd then plug it in, search for hours for drivers that actually worked properly and then start up Black and White 2 only to notice your creature has no fur.

Show me a GPU running Skyrim, The Sims 3, ArmA2, DCS Black Shark 2, etc., at 100 FPS and then I'll be a believer.

...until then, I'll stick with Pixar and my Blue Ray player.

The cards already out. The 7950 is priced at €400 and 7970 at €500 approximately.
They both have 3 GB DDR5 memory and the ´50 is as fast as the GTX580 but cheaper
than their 3GB version. The ´90 is about 30% faster then the ´580.

The only thing that changed is the DVD burner as the Sony isn't in stock so I went with LG.

The case arrived today, I got the SSD on Tuesday, everything else is from one vendor who is waiting for the graphics card to arrive.

Getting the i7 as this is also my work machine and I run a few virtual machines, so the hyperthreading should help; for gaming there's no reason to get anything but the i5-2500k.
