Update on the springs:

Due to time constraints and typical wrenching issues that draw out a project from the "Hey this will be pretty quick" to "damn its been 3+ hours?" I've only gotten the rear springs on (replacing the broken spring first of course) and so far, it is perfect. Below are a few pics. Not really before and after, but comparing how the car sits in front vs back. Really big difference.

So in between the storms literally all weekend I managed to finally dip my grill. It was mostly dark gray with a chrome trim (and chrome rings) which I wanted to black out.

So top is before, below is after. Unfortunately it has been unbelievably rainy and flooded, so a wet pic will have to suffice.

Nice Daunt, you're really putting your personal stamp on it eh. And the springs make a massive difference to the stance of it too eh! Good work :icon_cool:

Springs are done! Finally. What a huge pain a few of the bolts were. Because they were metal and the arms were aluminum, and the climate I live in, they seized and took a lot of effort to get out.

Honestly the height is just about perfect, no extra work needed, no scraping, but still very aggressive.

I'll have nicer pictures soon.. me and a buddy plan to go do a photoshoot or two in some nice areas to get some professional-looking pics. But here's a quick before (with rears only) and after, fully lowered.

Finally got around to it... here's a video of the sound in-cabin of my car. No windows are all up / sunroof closed. Will have to do a window with everything open, and an exterior / driveby video.

So about a month ago, not long before moving, I scraped the bottom of my car a few times going up the drive way (my old house). It only happened 3-4 times, but each one made the car sound louder and caused it to have more vibrations. Finally got around to putting the car up my ramp and here's the cause:

Therr's yerr problem. So despite what I thought might only be a hole, the front (to the left in the images) serated entirely from the rear (right) before the exhaust splits (into the cat, then into the two mufflers). No thanks in part due to that extremely rusty clamp

I think the best route may be to buy a fitting that's the proper ID and fit them both together, then secure it. Thoughts?

Wow, your car must have sounded like a GT3 race car :). Were you trying to impress Volkswagens by skipping most of the exhaust? :p

It doesn't look like the exhaust pipe is damaged so you'd probably be fine with a new clamp.
