Never have I seen so much fastness

Cool! Have they implemented team racing by now?

Nice job on the qualify!
Thanks and yep, team racing is in since the last major patch. Quite an extensive feature, allowing between 2 and 10 drivers per team to drive in a race. And they've added all sorts of UI things to make the whole structure easy to work with. Although there are a few bugs with it.

One of the best features I'd say is that you can register a team to a race and individual team members can leave and join when they want. Also, you can see (and edit if you become crew chief) the black box of the current driver.

There could be some German language flying around but that's because the team is from Germany.

It looks like I will be starting the race with 2 x 1 hour stints. Then Lars will do the same after which we both do another hour.

I'll update my original post as well.

Sehr gut! Aber Ich bin verwirrt...

2 stints at one hour a piece? How come the broadcast or whatever you said on the previous page was 1600 - 2200? Is that accounting for a 2 hour warm up?

Also when and how long are the rest of the planned MOE races? I'm too lazy to find their site.

No no, it's still 6 hours but you missed the last bit:

Spa, Circuit of the Americas and Mt. Panorama are still on the schedule:
Masters of Endurance - schedule

I can't even imagine how long the 24 hour race at Spa is going to feel like.

Change in plans.

Lars will do the first hour because my pace is probably a bit faster, but traffic at the start would slow that down. I still can't envision 60 cars powering through the chicane when the green hits :)

Watching it now, I'm really impressed with how professional it is being presented! Go Team Pure Racing! :D

That was a fun race, good result too.

We finished 17th and Pure Racing Team I finished 14th.

Here are the results:

It was certainly not an easy race (even if it was "only" 6 hours). Tires went to crap quite quickly and traffic was heavy. There were a lot of very broken cars on the track. Some of them were fast teams driving BMW's who were a lap down. Their damage meant that they were mostly slow on the straight but they were still annoyingly quick through the esses.

It looks like the stream from Lars had some issues. No sound and very stuttery. Good to hear that the official stream was worth watching. Thanks for the interest and the support :)

Hehe, nice find.
I was waiting for them to get a run out of a corner behind me to let them pass but they were too busy fighting each other. They really caught up in the spoon and the esses though. Not only because they weren't McLarry's but also because it was towards the end of my stint and my tires felt like this:

hahaha.Nice

There was a lot of drivers taking the kink too wide... do they have marshals warning them if they abuse it too much or something to that effect?

Yes, they do pay attention to regular off-tracks. In the first round, the moderators didn't have a good system for it, but I believe they would do something about that for Suzuka. Haven't heard of any penalties as a result though.

I think that they wouldn't be too harsh on going extremely wide on 130R. If you just barely touch the green strip you're better off going all they way wide because if you don't it could end your race right there. At least that's how it was in the McLaren.

I still am amazed by how close the field is each time. The cut-off was around a 2:18.4xx which is already very fast.

Our car qualified 33rd which I'm pretty happy with. We also have cars in the 10th and 26th (BMW) positions.

I'm a little scared by the length of the race but also excited. I'll be starting the race with a 2 hour stint and in the night we will be doing 3 hour stints so we can get some sleep in-between :).

They have announced 6 positions on the track where they will check for off-tracks. If you get an off-track there for more than 5 times per 15 laps you'll get a drive-through penalty (Endurance layout so it hurts). Should be interesting to see if it works and if it will prevent teams from taking shortcuts.
