I never dedicated a thread to the Porsche Caymen GT4 car when it was announced last September, but iRacing has now officially shown off the car in-sim confirming it for the March Build!
This car will flesh out the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenege series as the faster "GS" or "Grand Sport" class over the "TCR" class Audi R4 TCR.
GT4 cars include the Traction Control and Anti-lock Brake Systems of their GT3 big brothers, but feature around 400+/- Horsepower (100 less than GT3) and significantly less downforce.
Top-Speed estimates put GT4 cars around 260kmh (160 mph) at Daytona and GT3 cars around 280kmh (175 mph) at Bathurst.
Lap-time Comparisons
Daytona:
IMSA GTD (GT3): 1:45.367
MPCS GS (GT4): 1:54.5
MPCS TCR: 2:00.208
Bathurst:
GT3 Pro: 2:03.434
GT4: 2:16.812
Finally, if you want to watch some MPCS action, IMSA is uploading full-race broadcasts ander they're aired on TV (usually a couple weeks after the actual race.)
