Guys I really blew it today and wiped out the files folder at Fragtard.

I'm trying to install and configure this rather robust file browser/catalogue for Wordpress and I mucked things up in the process. I had everything setup properly, scanned for new files and it found everything, including files we don't want to add to the downloads such as images from 332 events.

So, I just deleted them thinking I was only deleting the link between Wordpress database and the file server which unfortunately is not the case. When you delete the link you are actually deleting the file as well, f3ck.

Typically I take a server backup before I mess around like this but today for some stupid reason, I didn't.

It has raised a rather interesting issue within the file browser structure itself as we have not really discerned between what is to be downloaded and what is to not be downloaded.

For this reason, I'm changing the way we store files there just so it's clearer what should be where.

Sorry about this guys. I'm sick to my stomach over this newest level of my own stupidity.

BTW, I'll post in a separate topic outlining how we may want to organize the file browser better.

There are 3 reasons for this:

1. There are currently folders in our files area that won't download. They'll just return an error due to improper folder naming structure. As a general rule of thumb, you never want spaces between title names in a folder.
2. Wordpress will ultimately be the vehicle for all our downloads. It's very robust and allows for each page to be customizable from a skinning standpoint. As an example, when I finally get Bracers files uploaded, his page will actually have the background image showing his work in action.
3. I can actually monitor dowloads and adjust accordingly from both a local standpoint and server standpoint. I like the idea of hosting files from here but I need to monitor the bandwidth and adjust accordingly at the server level or the site will exceed it's bandwidth settings. It's an easy fix but it sucks when people come here and the site is offline IMHO.

I should have everything put together today and will post once its done.
