For our first operation as a combined Effort I was thinking Stary Sabor

Set snipers on all sides of the city at least 4

Each Camp Bring 1 ATV to hold supplies

each person should have 2 BB and Morphine as well as 3 bandages

Runners should be equiped with axes and pistols

Targets of Interest are the Military Tents and the Supermarket
we could clean them out a few times each waiting through loot respawns

Strict Comms Discipline would need to be adhered to ensure safety of group

What do you guys think?

Sounds cool. But half the fun is chatting it up on TS. Need a code word to clear TS maybe, something like "Oh SHIT!" might work.

I agree with Engnr. One of the reasons to have TS is to have fun on it and not adhere to strict militant rules. We manage to play Tactical in ArmA2 and never have we had to "shush" each other ingame mind you we've all been on the same objective.

I'm going to change the DayZ Channels to DayZ General and DayZ Tactical with a description as to what each Channel is for.

That way anyone who is engaged in a particularly tough spot ingame can move themselves to DayZ tactical and be assured there won't be any General Chat Spam in there.

Not sure that would work Duke. You will have the team split between channels. I know TS allows for a designated person to talk over everyone else, so that may be an idea. Besides there are enough channels already for people to move between. If everyone keeps to not hogging the mic and telling old war stories we should be fine. Just keep conversations short and don't open the mic when you are laughing.

I'm not creating more channels, just editing the current channels as DayZ 1 and DayZ 2 are pretty much meaningless anyway.

TS is supposed to be fun so it is encouraged to have fun there, not set priority speakers and march to the beat of one and only drummer.

I think you are missing the point of Strict Comms,

Yes comms can be clear for chatter and having fun, but if we have 12 people in the same channel all shouting at the same time its chaotic and alot of us will die due to not being able to communicate well. When the shit hits the fan everyone needs to be aware of what is going on. With the increase of zombie aggro range and the fact that we are limited as to how we can hide now this is a big problem. This is for people that want to be apart of a serious OP and regear us up. Today EVERYTHING was wiped.

Not everyone needs to exercise strict radio discipline to play a game.

DayZ will be given it's own Channel for Strict Radio Discipline and the other will remain a DayZ General Channel.
