I ran about 15 laps after work and bit drive very similar to the GTE car. I was getting low 20's with a 19.5 optimum.

Any idea on the driver line up for each car?

On Road Atlanta, I can drive the GTE or GT3, like both.

Denis, would love to drive with you but I don't think I am fast enough and not sure I can do five hours. 3 persons would probably be better for me.

I bet both Bedo and Reid want to drive so perhaps we should put together some teams. I'll check with them. Perhaps some two person and some 3 person.

I am in the boat that I don't want to slow down quicker racers. I am perfectly fine not racing with the group. I do plan to practice my A$$ off for the next several weeks though.

John there should be room for everyone, I would be happy to race with you. I think its just a matter of which car. We probably need to list what cars we want to drive and see where it shakes out.

Denis, I am probably limited to 3 - 4 hours of driving that day. Let me check with Bedo, I think he wants to drive some, but may be limited on time as well. I'm sure we can get everyone racing.

I just spent some time in the 488 GT3 on Road Atlanta and have to say I like it way more than I thought I would. Great grip, turn 1 is a blast in that car. I am posting a setup I got from Wyatt if anyone wants to give it a shot. Was running in the 1:19s with an optimal of 1;19.251, so running very close to my optimal. That said, I would think there is probably at least a second more to be found.

I probably won't race Petit Le Mans, busy with all kinds of stuff, and planning to do the Bathurst 1000 km race instead.

Not bothered about being with slow people - just having fun is the way I go about endurance races.

Just let me know what car we'll be using and I'll start doing some laps during the week since I'm off work.

@Brainling I have to go to Florida tomorrow from here in Michigan. My Uncle passed away and I'm heading down to help family transport his belongings to his daughters place in Wisconsin. I shouldn't be gone more than a week but I'm posting this in case I don't make it back in time for Petit Le Mans. I'll post back later in the week when I have a better idea of the timeline.

Jes, sorry to hear about your uncle I hope all goes as well as can be expected with the move.

Talked to Bedo this weekend and he said he could probably do two stints early. I can probably do 3 stints and can be flexible on timing. I'm kind of liking the 488 GT3. Don't know if anyone wants to drive it but it is very good on Road Atlanta.

@Jes_971 Sorry to hear about your uncle Don't worry about the race. If you make it, you make it, if not, no worries. I can either take a stint or two on another team, or just watch from the sidelines on this one.

I'll keep practicing in the Ford for now, but if I don't hear from you by Monday either way, I'll switch over to practice in whatever the other team is driving.

Thank you for your thoughts guys. I will be back the 26th or 27th. That'll give me two days for some serious practice which should be sufficient. I'll be looking forward to taking a break from physical and mental stresses of the current situation. Some racing and good humor shared by friends will be a welcome change.

Any idea on driver lineups for the cars?

I would prefer to drive the Ferrari GTE car as I felt more comfortable with it. Also do you want me to send a request to join the team on the iRacing website?

I will do some more laps tomorrow since I'm off work.

Maybe we should post the car we want to drive and times we want to drive, and see how it shakes out:

Deb - First 488 GT3
2nd 488 GTE

Would like to drive 3 or 4 hours, single stints, flexible as to times.

Bedo - First 488 GT3
2nd 488 GTE

Can drive first two stints in the AM

Reid - First 488 GT3
2nd 488 GTE

Can only drive until 2:00 pm est

If someone wants to drive the GT3 or GTE in afternoon/evening times for 3 -5 hours, I think that would be a complete team, but also we could break it up, i.e., the 3 of us don't have to drive together and Reid said he doesn't have to drive if it doesn't work as to times.

@Jes_971 When you get back and are in the mental space to practice, I've just been using the VRS setup for the Ford. It feels pretty stable, or as stable Road Atlanta can feel.

I won't be available until 10 pm UK as I don't finish work until 9 pm just to let you know.

More than happy to jump in the Ford or Ferrari 488 GT3 car if we use that. @Duke can you send me a request to join the team on iRacing when you get time and I will start doing some more laps tomorrow.
