Porsche License Expired? Assetto Corsa Announcement

So does this mean the EA exclusivity license has expired? Is this why iRacing has seen a small rate increase???

I am not sure that the EA license even has an expiry. At this point I think Porsche might have fucked right up and given some kind of perpetual deal or something since they signed it way back before people realized how important the digital market would end up being.

We already saw another game (Forza?) license the Porsche brand and the explanation I got was that they paid EA for the license use. It's probably more likely that AC is licensing via EA because if the Porsche brand was open season now I imagine it would be a big buzz around the community already.

The problem is that every single article you read is all pure speculation, neither EA or Porsche are talking about it.
