Recovering deleted files from internal phone storage

Anyone done this before?

I've put the phone in USB de-bug mode but can't get it to show up as a drive so I can use normal file recovery software. This is as far as my knowledge takes me.

I've recovered the files from the SD card that were backed up but so far no luck with internal storage.

Reason for recovery is the video files got corrupted at some point during the transfer process and it was a cut and paste job not a copy and paste. Hence the need to recover...

Any help would be most appreciated guys?

Did u install the drivers for the phone?
And if so, do you use the same usb port you first used when installing the phone drivers?

Yeah I did, and yes definitely the same port.

It still appears as a remote device which is the problem, I need to get the internal storage to show as a drive to use the file recovery program.

Impossible without rooting the phone evidently. A lot of it would probably have been overwritten anyway by now. Moving on to try and find a way to repair the corrupted files... I don't do giving up

And I've cracked it. Managed to recover the corrupted files. Man that was a mission! But got it done

Nope, found a software program to repair the corrupted files. There was a trial version that allowed you to recover 50% of the file to see if it works.

Then I found an earlier version of that software that was freeware. The current program is 99 Euros (!).
