70% of TLB has been playing the Rust alpha for the last week. Fuck is it great.

Anyone looking to play, we got a server up. 20 bones for the game on Steam.

Rust is an indie 2013 survival video game created by Facepunch Studios,[SUP][1][/SUP] the creators of Garry's Mod. The game's inspiration comes from games such as DayZ, Minecraft, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

I have played this before with D.O.A. but the amount of griefers was insane, once you build a house/stronghold others would build a ramp in front of your doors so you couldn't get out.

Did they fix that crap?

Yeah its pretty insane , getting past the first day without getting brutally murdered by a machine gun toting squad is a real sport in Rust .

Having said that though , Rust has some great potential , the map just needs to be expanded more .
Currently the spawns(loot and player) are to centered to one corner of the map .

How about a server name Kitty , i'll hop on when i get the time (i'm guessing it has TLB in it but i'm lazy ).

add me on Steam. Name: Smacktardius and through me you'll be able to find the TLB server. Turn off Rust auto-updates in Steam as we're not always going to update the server as it gets wiped when a update/patch is applied. Every server has this issue. We will update when it's worth it, probably when a major, worthwhile patch comes out.

We don't have hacker issues at this point, theres about 30 - 40 regulars on our server. Its been up for just under a week and getting a bit more popular everyday. The official servers are well known to be cheater central, the good news is that there's thousands of non official servers.

It's still an alpha obviously, a little rough around the edges but great fun.

yeah it took me a while to get in the server , the server browser is a bit on the slow side :s .

Been playing this recently with Mad Dog & Calizza, they changed the engine of the game and it's much much different from when I played in Jan 2014. This is a massive improvement but being a alpha still a work in progress.

Great things on the horizon I'm sure but more time needed for content and optimizing. Developers are very active.

I've been playing a lot of Rust. Kitlope, if you're ever looking for a small group to play with I think ours is about 10-11 strong with 6 or 7 playing actively.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks Peeble. I know in the future I'll be looking for a small group to play with, I haven't yet decided if I should put this on the backburner for another 4 or 5 months.
