Why do they use the acronym? Why don't they use the full name: Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring ?

Update to road series:

Road:

Changes to Existing Series:

• Make the Kia Cup Fixed. Put it a D class.

• The cars Change for IMSA. Three car classes. The Corvette DP, a 3 car GT3 class and the Ruf C Spec.

• The Ruf Cup (C-spec) changes to Open setup instead of Fixed

New Series:

• Bringing back the Radical back as stand-alone car and Series.

• Bringing back the ProtoGT Series but different cars. This series will be 4 cars and 3 classes: The HPD, the Ford GT2 car and the two GT1 cars (Aston and Corvette)

• A New RUF GT3 car Series(The Ruf Track Car) as a fixed setup series at D level.

Gone:

• GT1 Series Goes Away.

• The Prototype Series of the Radical and the HPD Goes Away.
Big news - I like the IMSA change, that will be a blast. I might run that this upcoming season to supplement Blancpain. They're getting rid of the GT1 series though and combining with the prototypes? Interesting to say the least. Not sure if I like the idea but it might be fun.

EDIT - it also appears the BSS is going to get a further fuel reduction down to 40% (down from 55%). Fuel strategy will be even more critical, rather than a quick 10 second stop, if that, for a splash of fuel. In fact two races this season you barely needed fuel, and could viably get by without stopping.

S3 schedule released:
http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3483896.page

FORD IS REPLACING THE RUF IN THE BLANCPAIN SERIES... I'm sure some of you are happy about that....

Ruf Cup is now open setup
There is a new Ruf GT3 series that is fixed
The Ford GT will move into the GT3 class and replace the Ruf track. This will not show up on the pdf until the 13th week.
The Prototype and GT challenge is back with the HPD, Ford GT, and GT1 cars.
The IMSA series is now the Vette DP, German GT3 cars, and Ruf CSpec.
Radical is back as a stand alone series.
Verizon INDYCAR series is an open setup road series with both oval and road races.
Above schedule that I posted is close to accurate, I've messed with it to correct the minor errors.

Unofficla week 13 series:

Unofficially speaking, there’s plenty on tap in Week 13 as well. iRacers can venture into iRating- and Safety Rating-free zones in a host of oval series including the PickUp Cup featuring the original Chevrolet Silverado at Daytona ‘circa 2007, as well as the Dallara Dash with the 2011 Dallara at Charlotte. The Sprint Cup Chevrolet SS, Ford Fusions and Toyota Camrys will be front and center at Talladega in the Carburetor Cup, and will share the stage with the Chevy Silverados and Toyota Tundras at Charlotte in theIdentity Crisis; share the stage but not the pits as the Sprint Cup cars will be required to make at least one stop per race while the trucks are free to run non-stop from green to checkered flag.

The unofficial road series include the Week 13 iRacing Figure GR8 with the Audi R8 LMS, BMW Z4 and Mercedes-AMG GT3s on Irwindale Speedway’s Figure 8 layout while, for something even more different, the Tube Frame Twister pits the Aston Martin DBR9 and Corvette C6.R GT1 cars against the Radical SR8, Late Model Monte Carlo, Super Late Model and the Street Stock Chevy from Monza and Watkins Glen to the Charlotte road course.

And once the new build is released, roadies can flock to Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari – familiarly known as Imola – to run their Formula Renault 2.0s in the Week 13World Series of Renault.
Can we please please please do week 13's GT3 track, instead of making up Philip Island???

Also with the tube twister series, they seem to be toying with using 6 cars in one session.

Release notes: http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3485144.page

Some notables:

- The Info tab on the Session screen will now show your incident point count for the current session. In a team event, it will also show the count for your team as a whole.

- All tracks now have complete particle collision, so particles such as dirt, sparks, and gravel can bounce along the surface instead of passing through the environment.

- Dust and gravel can now be dragged and thrown onto the track by wayward cars, which then interacts with the tires to affect grip and accumulation of debris on the tires.

- Support for the consumer version of the Oculus Rift has been added to iRacing, based on the Oculus 1.3.2 SDK.

Did a few test laps in the V8 around Lime Rock and then a hosted session at Bathurst. Almost feels like a new car, Suspension update really made a difference and the in car engine noise has improved quite a bit. I'll definitely be picking up some more seat time in Holden this season.

I didn't even realize they did that much to the V8SC. Awesome. The V8 really needed a new injection of sound as it was very off from RL. Can't seem to find any videos of the updated V8SC yet.

From what I watched - haven't tried it yet - the suspension seems amazing. It wasn't bouncing around like the old V8s were, which was incredibly ridiculous. The sound didn't seem much changed. Maybe a small improvement.

I drove on Imola though with my other new purchase (the DP - also bought Road America finally) and man it is awesome. Unlike it's Italian cousin, this track has definite character. The 1x / course cuts are a bit iffy... you can use the turf at the track out in every spot except for the tight right hander before the final chicane. There it will give you a 1x. Also the apex of the final turn, which has turf, is iffy and can bite you with a 1x and/or a slowdown sometimes. Just needs some consistency / cleanup. Otherwise amazing.

And yes, finally hit the 25% discount with 40+ paid content!

I've tested the V8 as well on Imola. I haven't driven it for a long time but I did notice some differences. You still have to be very careful when trying to power out of hairpins, but the front seems to grip better in higher speed corners and it might be easier to save slides.

I'm actually a bit surprised that the new tuesday patch didn't really touch on BOP at all.

How has it looked at Road America? I haven't really done any extensive practice yet to see the balance.
