I don't know, you'd have to ask them.

I've read that Warranty coverage can change depending on what country you're in. I personally find this a bit hard to believe but I guess anythings possible.

I do believe though Warranty coverage on Saitek/Madcatz Products ranges from 6 months to 2 years so it's possible you're still covered. Apparently there should be something inside the box that your Joystick came in indicating Warranty coverage but I'll be damned if I've found such a thing.

Received an e-mail today confirming my unit is approved for RMA.

Unfortunately I have to send everything back so here's hoping whatever comes back is all good.

Am really sorry to understand that the issue still persists.

So we can determinate is there is really a Software or Hardware issue, let's see if you are experiencing the same issue after the manually install.

In order to do the manually install, please use the steps from the following link:

Please send us a screenshot from Programs & Features and also, please send us a screenshot from your Device Manager. Please be advised that we will need the some screenshots with the with the extended areas of the following:

- HID (human interface device);
- USB;
- Programming Support.

Please make sure that the device is connected directly in the motherboard after the installation.

Also, it would be great to test the device on another PC, in order to see if you're experiencing the same issue

There is also a possibility to experience a ghosting issue (power issue). In order to determine that, please let me know if there are moments when the device is lighting up by itself.

I know if it were me I'd probably video record what I'm doing and put it up as unlisted on YouTube.

This way they know you have video evidence doing exactly what it is they want done and maybe it prods them to take care of it seeing as how it's in video form?

I don't know but to be honest, I'm very thankful my X-55 crapped out while streaming. This means that no matter how insignificant a pleb I may be in the grand scheme of things, there are still others who know I've had issues and may consider not purchasing due to them.

It's funny but now that my X55 is no longer near my PC I really find I'm missing it. The Throttle had a place on the end table to the left of my Desk with the Joystick being placed right of my Desk on the same table as my PS4.

I feel all empty inside right now and can't wait for this process to end even though I know it may be several weeks to a few months before I receive my replacement.

I remember feeling this way when TrackIR was giving me issues. It's just amazing how much these peripherals become a must have in your gaming experience.

Oddly enough I still have my Logitech 3D Pro joystick but I can't bring myself to plug it in. At this point I'd rather wait than play Elite: Dangerous with anything other than a HOTAS.

It appears as if I'm well on my way to becoming another jaded Customer.

Just Tweeted this minutes ago:

Business day 6 and I still haven't heard anything about the status of my X-55 Rhino RMA, extremely disappointed!!! @MadCatz @SaitekSim

I don't care how busy they are, it should not take 6 business days to look at an RMA approved product. Even if it does take this long, you should not e-mail your Customer stating "it will take a couple of days" which in my mind equates to 2 days.

If it takes longer at least update the Customer as to why it's taking so long.

The Customer has bought and paid good money for your product, probably more to have it shipped to him/her and even more still to ship it back to MadCatz for repair/replacement.

Unacceptable.

So in a bizarre turn of events, @MadCatz has been responding to me via Twitter but not updating their own internal Ticket System.

As it turns out my X-55 is being packaged and shipped out to me tomorrow however my ticket status at MadCatz still has not been updated for 7 business days now.

I can see why people are so frustrated with this company. It appears as if the only way to get anything done is to go on Twitter and call them out on it.

This isn't the end of it either for me because I'm going to test it thoroughly when it come in and use it twice as much as previous.

I'm also going to request an updated warranty to cover this thing and see where that takes me.

All in all I have no idea how to rate this experience so far? It just seems so horribly inconsistent the way they choose to handle RMA's at least. I quite literally have no idea how to feel about them at this point?

omg, I hope I'm just reacting early but my X55 Joystick showed up today and it appears to be new.

Really great except it's the fucking Throttle unit that was the problem and I've not seen that return just yet.

I'll give it the remainder of the day but my guess is this roving band of bl00dy retards shipped me a new Joystick without even reading what the issue was and what unit was in need of replacement.

So far this has easily been some of the most lazy, incompetent and truly oblivious Customer Service I've ever received.

And this incomplete package was shipped to you on the 29th last month? Did they send the thing by pigeon or something?
