Hey all
I came across this in the Steam forums and it works for a couple of things, so if anyone is having a lot of fps issues on wondows 10 then it cannot hurt to try disabling GameDVR which is basically streaming software by microsoft (apparently)
Not my fix so I shall just copy and paste this right here:
For those with FPS drops
Just found some info that may be causing it.
During Windows latest update it installed and enabled GameDVR which is Microsofts version of shadowplay.
To disable it you'll need a Microsoft account to disable it the normal way which you can see below:
Open Xbox app, you can access it via the start menu search.
Sign in - this should be automatic if you normal sign into Windows.
The cog in the bottom left access the settings menu.
Head to GameDVR at the top and turn it off
