I've thrown you an invite to all my groups and asked produx too just to make sure
The server is survival, but with extremely enhanced welding, grinding and inventory speed/size.
Once on the server you'll have to join the fragtard faction ingame so you can use the base and the (huge) amount of recources we gathered so far and you should be good to start on your destroyer.
In reality, I plan on flailing about helplessly in space for a couple of weeks. My experience so far has been stealing whatever ship I can (in singleplayer) and ramming everything.
Send me one too! I've played plenty single player but not survival multi player yet. I promise not to build a massive lagging monolith and then drive it into your starbase.

I finally finished my medium transport vessel... I went for something bigger, but not huge like some juggernauts people make. I also like to stray from making war/gunships, so I like going for more civilian/industrial types of ships. Took me 15-20 hours to build this sucker, kinda glad it's done. Still need to do some detailing and functionality tweaks, but it's largely done;
And finally the view from the bridge of the ship. Quite a bit of steam workshop content in this one;
After checking in on our Asteroid Base this evening we've found it back in a terrible state
This happened during a big 2 months of having left the server run by itself without any maintenance on our base from our side.
Meteor storms have been raging at it every 30 minutes for all that time ....
Screw the base, time to try out to build some fully remote controlled ships to play with
Haha Shilka. I heard about it. I don't own space engineers and have never played but as a tremendous minecraft fan, and a huge sci-fi fan, I've always been watching this game.
I'd like to hear how it is. My only other beef is, if I understand correctly, there really is no survival element like there is in minecraft, right?
there's oxygen and power to keep in mind besides the not get shot in the face or squeezed in between a rock and a big piece of metal on a public server.
I've tried the new version yesterday but the planets lag a lot at start, taking at least a full minute in game to "settle" the framerate up to a more acceptable rate. Serverwise this version is taking A LOT more memory, so it's a no go to keep it running besides my dev framework on my VPS.
I have played a good bit of Space Engineers, like it a lot. I've got some cool ships I could bring over, You guys still playing regularly? Fallout is taking most of my time for now, but I've been wanting to get into a group game on space engineers.
