I'm not so sure I want to drive the DP now. After further analysis, my findings show that I might have a less stressful race in the GTE class. I'm not officially switching yet but you can put me down for an alternate in the Ford, Porsche, and Ferrari for now. I'll make a decision by Friday.

I'll get on Tuesday night and give it a go in the DP. Couldn't play Monday night because apparently Windows Update made it so my main monitor would not get a signal regardless of what I tried.

Why not? Daytona is probably easiest track for that car. Car's named after it after all :D

It's not the car persay, it's my pace in the car in comparison to GTE. I'm thinking of playing it safe to nullify the chance of being in a higher split with really fast GTE drivers that would possibly make it a nightmare to race with.

You will get appreciably faster with more practice @Jes_971.

If you can find comfort and consistency pace will come. Now if you're an uncontrollable mess with no pace then I'd say move to GTE as well and perhaps drive with another Team lol.

What Ken said. I'm sure you can get better with a bit of practice. I'll be on tonight, just making some food and stuff to get ready for work week.

Consistency first, speed will come along.

So, I missed the practice sessions last night (fell asleep - oops), but I put in around 1.5 hours this morning. I was able to keep the C7 on track, but need to work on my lap times.

The setup posted by Slider felt a bit loose, but if I remember correctly, that setup was for a night race and I was running the practice session in default afternoon conditions. Unless I remember that wrong.

I found the setup to lock the fronts easily, specially when cold, so when I drove, I moved BB back a click and helped a bit. Can't recall if I touched ARBs at all, don't think I did, but with them both at 3, it should be enough to adjust for day and night and we can mess with tire pressures too.

Spoke to @Bedo last night and he can drive at least the first two stints on Saturday and the last two stints on Sunday and maybe more during the night. He said he'll drive whatever car I am driving, so I think I will go with the Ferrari first, Porsche second. Late last night we worked on the current Ferrari setup that I shared with @afroducks last night but need to test it tonight. If it is better, I will post.

I'll going with the DP as well. Really interested to see how @Skid_Marc_'s small change to 2nd gear works out. I think getting a bit more torque is really going to help out of the corners and allow for quicker and more stable on throttle.

Also, I cranked Traction Control to max and it really helped my lap-times a lot around here, particularly in the infield and getting onto the oval.

@ShadniX @Slider

This is the setup we've been using so far. I *THINK* I already changed the gear up one-click? (2.111?). Gonna turn some more laps on it this afternoon, in 2-3 hours, but it's solid for 1:39's. I wouldn't recommend brake-bias lower than 59.1, I think Nejt's running 59.4 and Ken might be at 60? Either way, we're all really close on pace.

I saw that BoP update. I don't really understand why it's NOT for Daytona, but whatever. I feel like iRacing needs to make so many arbitrary decisions just to keep people at a certain level of upset.

I'm leaving for night shifts now, but I downloaded it for tomorrow. My practice was in 39s (started 1h before sunset and drove until 1h after) with the original one, so I'm sure it'll be the same on this one.
