Still problems...

Just a small update on my mic/TIR situation:
Yesterday I finally got TIR to be recognised in Arma3 so that's one step closer to nirvana. Now I'm having problems with the stickers for TIR (the receivers) as the old ones aren't "sticking" anymore and I haven't found the backup ones either so I have no real way of tracking at the moment.
I'm trying to find something to replace that but haven't really found anything good enough yet. Any tips are welcome (The Pro-Clip is not an option as my Track-IR is too old to support it).
I haven't done any more tests with my mic, but when I tried a playback from the mic on my own computer it sounded crystal clear so I'm not sure what the problem is there.
I have a suspicion that maybe my motherboard and its USB components may be failing.

All in all I will not join any event this week until my TIR is properly up and running again.
I hope I'm back on track next week

You'll manage, Leimboy - just don't give up. I use the clip (not the pro) for the cap; works like a charm.

I'm not really adept at TrackIR, but could you paint the points where you'd want the sticky dots with white nail polish?

Same here and it's actually better IMHO, you don't have the wire hanging down to your USB Plug.

What is this wonder "just the clip" you are talking about? Can't say I've ever seen it anywhere.

Thanks for the tip with nail polish, not sure if it will work but it's certainly worth a try.
So far I've bought a roll of reflective tape to see if that works with the TIR. Wish me luck!

The clip is a funny looking thing you wear on a hat. You can be a trucker at your desk, looks a bit like those things people wear to stop aliens abducting them.

Well, it's a nice little bonus to not have the aliens abduct you while gaming, that would be really annoying :lol:

My TrackIR is up and running again
I made my own DIY-cheapass-TIR-clip(tm) and it works just fine. It has no proven effect on aliens though
