Here we go gang! Time for the Suzuka 1000km in iRacing.

GT3 only for this one and I believe we have already settled on the Ford Mustang for this (though if anyone wants different, now is the time to pipe up!

I have attached what I have so far for a setup but if you have something better then please feel free to post it.

The time slots for this event are:
Fri 22:00
Sat 7:00, 12:00, 16:00.
Sunday 00:00 all times in GMT

This race takes roughly 5.5 to 6 hours based on the race being 172 laps, so around 6 stints in total.

I am easy on whichever slot please register your interest so we know who is coming. I am pretty certain @Skid_Marc_ has time constraints on this event so the more people that are easier on time slots the better!
@Deb
@Noodleguitar
@Ogami Itto
@Kenadian

And anyone else :)

PS Slight revision on the setup done 20/10/25 12:00pm

Thanks, I'll try this next week. I couldn't find one yet. I'll keep looking to see if they put one up.

I made some adjustments for as much as i know the Ford and this one is a bit faster , I had to turn my FFB up a bit though as it is a bit numb when trying to catch the back of the car Freshest set at the top of the post.

@Nejtun, Ogami hasn't been driving since he moved into his house. He hasn't had a computer for his rig, which he had to put upstairs. He is building one but hasn't finished it yet.

If anyone didn't see, the VRS Endurance has swapped weeks with the VRS Sprint Series, so the Endurance is running the 3-hour at Suzuka THIS weekend, while the Sprint series is at Imola, I think?

Sim-time will be early in the AM (6:45a IIRC), though, so it's not 1:1, but laps at Suzuka are laps at Suzuka. Suzuka 1000k will start around noon.

Thanks @Skid_Marc_, I actually decided not to do Suzuka because I don't have enough time to practice. We have NEC this weekend and next week I'm out of town so learning a new car and pretty new track with just 3 days to practice was above me.

I didn't reply in here yet, but I won't be joining the Suzuka race. It's a bit short for my taste, I almost would call it a sprint race instead of endurance :). And I'll likely be busy next week.

Indeed, we need the Suzuka 10 Hour back. Had to look it up to make sure I wasn't being gas-lit or Mandela-effected, or whatever, but it was, in fact, a thing.

1000km only makes sense as an Endurance event for certain, non-endurance, series; Supercars' Bathurst 1000km, Indycar's Indy 500 (miles), Nascar's Coke 600 (miles), etc. Cars that actually require focus and fortitude just to make it 100km.
