Team Fortress 2 Community Clash

Hey all, I was wondering if there would be any interest in a Team Fortress 2 Community Clash? The game is free to play hence accessible to every member here so it's a natural for a Community get together.

I'd like to have this ideally on a Saturday mid-day EST so it's accessible for everyone.

Also, if possible it would be nice if we could run this off a Private Server which pretty much anyone with decent bandwidth can host.

I can help in setting it up as I've run a TF2 Private Server before but my bandwidth is so bad it would be a nightmare if there were any more than a few people connected.

...unless some of you want to help me test my Server to see if it's adequate prior to confirming the actual date of this event.

I'll be filming throughout and will publish the highlights on YouTube with In-Game Comms so it should be quite funny.

Ideally I'd love to have this Community Clash within the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Well my son would be all over this. He would embarrass all of you lot so severely that you may never have another. I for one will never play against the newb because I don't have what it takes to compete with him at his game. lol

Is there a linux server for TF2? I might be able to help. I have 3 pretty powerful servers in Germany (79 EUR a month so cheap too!) that do nothing on Saturdays. If so, I may investigate.

I really have no idea about Linux so I can't comment fairly.

From what I've seen here it appears as if it's completely supported.
