Got it today and turned a few laps on my own.. the visuals are stunning!

By Coop I meant racing in essentially a closed server with your friends opposed to Multiplayer which is online with randoms.

Better yet, dedicated server support is included.
Hosting from the game is also a possibility and quite easy as it's pretty self explanatory.

How is the AI? From the gameplay videos I've seen thus far, the AI is still absolutely terrible.

Tried some....and i guess they used Little_P as a base for the AI....ooh was that a bunny?

I may end up getting it this weekend. A good career mode racer has been a long time coming imo.

That is dissapointing... I thought the AI would improve at least some... to a decent state but it doesn't seem like it at all... just throwing in more cars / polishing graphics...

No doubt though Doc. I was having fun with the AC progression they have... not really a full blown career mode, but still. A well done career mode is really needed.

I've got it all set up how I want it now, the wheel and pedals feel perfect right out of the box.

It's great to race with a full 30 car grid in the Clio Cup on Brands Hatch in the Rain. I'm very impressed so far... first impressions are I prefer it to Assetto Corsa. I can see AC being my Nordschleife simulator with modding and PC for everything else.

I agree Quick the visuals are very impressive, I've got everything maxed as far as it will go in 1080p and it's the best yet in my opinion.

I actually think the AI is ok, I mean at least they adjust their line if you are attempting a pass on the inside, they don't just carry on for the apex regardless. And have you noticed you can pressure a car in front to make a mistake? Good stuff.

Wait they have some DTM cars in PCARS? Man have I been wanting to drive some... you have to buy a pack for AC in order to get them (a 3rd party mod-type pack)

Well bit the bullet last night. Really sharp looking racer. Now if I can just get my wheel settings close to what I'm used to in iRacing, I'll be in business.

I don't know why, but the best ffb and wheel settings I've ever felt have been with iRacing and Game Stock Car Extreme. I've no idea why sims like R3E, AC and PCars have to have gobs of wheel and ffb settings/options.

Would love to join you guys online, but I'm afraid I won't be home tonight until 10pm MDT. Maybe at some point in the next 2 to 3 days?

I'll be honest, I don't actually own the game. I downloaded an earlier version of the beta or whatever it was, just to see how it played. I had planned to buy it later after the AI improved and the game actually released, but it still doesn't seem like it is at the point where I want to buy it. It is on my list though for sure, but I'm holding off for now.

Not to mention I have quite a few other games I'm playing right now. DiRT is amazing, KSP, and keeping up with iRacing still. And Elite's next big update drops in two weeks.
