The Witcher 3

Finished the main quest line on "Blood and Broken Bones". - Got the ending involving the Silver Sword called "Ziraeal"...
Going to go through again on Death March.
A little bit choked that there is no continuation of the story threads after the main quest ends...Yen? Triss? Where the heck did everybody go!?

Love 'em and leave 'em Tex.

It's the romantic equivalent of not looking back at explosions.

Heh. Gotcha.
I realised that the finish I got was the "Geralt the Lone Wolf" version.
I'm playing Deathmarch this time...meaning Geralt is trying to adventure through without getting a serious STD. ;)

The references/acknowledgements to pop-culture that are found in this game continue to appear where least expected: I was doing a side quest and found one which is seems to be referencing Monty Python and the Holy Grail lol.
There's a cave in Velen with a white hare grazing amongst a pile of bloody bones and skulls...

Five is right out!

The number of the counting shall be 3. No more, no less.
Thou shalt not count to 2, unless directly proceeding to 3.
Thou shalt not also count to 4. As it is the number following 3.
FIVE IS RIGHT OUT!

Well, just got the game, and with my under minimum specs PC, I can appearantly run it with all on medium, and have textures and detail on ultra while never dipping under 30 FPS o_O
Could be I need to dune stuff down a bit when I get to a large city or something, but for now it runs like a charm. Who would have known...

It will chug in town a bit.
My system just does little freeze-ups occasionally. But the game rarely locks/crashes (I have had a total of 2 crashes in over 250 hours of gameplay).
Death match continues: Nearly time to go to the Isle of Mists.

Update on Easter Eggs/references:
-Hogan's Hero's (I will send you to the front...the EASTERN FRONT!)- This may be a "reach" but it's the first thing I think of when I hear that threat lol.
-Game of Thrones Easter Egg involving Tyrion...and it is definitely him. Fans of the show will get it immediately, if they find it. ;)

It is expected that references to JRRT's epic(s) would be found.
Found the name "Undomiel" on a Witch Hunter's list today.

Main quest Death March complete.
Cirrilla Fiona Ellen Rhiannon still as OP as ever (She can be killed. As I discovered this play-through. She barely suffered a scratch in "Blood and Broken Bones").
Geralt and Yen romance is a nice ending.
Time to see how Hearts of Stone is...

Wow.
Hearts of Stone is as good as the main game so far...
Not gonna spoil it for those that have yet to play; but there's a familiar face that one could have easily passed off as just another NPC from very early in the main game.
There's also a friend from previous installments of the game.
First two fights I got into were damned hard (Death March difficulty): The very first one required me to eat every scrap of food that I had in my inventory. Which left me with not even a chunk of raw meat for the second fight lol.
One can feel naked without one's ham sammiches ;)

On side quests and lol's: I was in Oxenfort, running to the weapon/armour enhancement spot...ran into these three thugs bothering a cute young peasant woman...beat the shit out of them (with fists); escorted the woman two blocks (with a little conversation) to her home; quest done.
After all the epic stuff Geralt gets involved in, I found this...humorous lol.

I have decided that after having a handful of references in the game which are FROM the novels, I am going to start buying Sapkowski's books.
The story has it's hooks in deep...

Read that list again to see what I missed: One of the prisoner's is "Sardaukar" (Say hello to a Dune reference)...I'll leave the prisoner description to be read by anyone playing the game...the list can be acquired on the quest involving saving the sorceress Magarita.

Best Sword names so far: "Pang of Conscience" and "Reach of the Damned".
First one has huge crit bonus. Second has big freeze chance. -Both are silver swords.
