[TLB] vs [tard] Scrim

Hey guys and gals, we're trying to organize a Scrim pitting Fragtard.net vs The Lazy Bastards.

We're hoping to get enough people to run an 8vs8 scrim on TLB's Battlefield 3 Server which can be found here:

The map will likely be Grand Bazaar Conquest Small with Gimme Flags at either end (A and C Flags) with B Alley being the highly contested Flag:



Date of Scrim is still TBA dependent on Community Interest. We do know it will be a Saturday Afternoon around 1PM EST so as to accommodate any interested Euros.

Skill level is not an issue, anyone is welcome to play but we need a head count in advance so TLB can match our numbers.

11am est is too early for us in the west d00k, should be about 1 or 2 pm est as it's still rather early in euro.

I might be able to play and convince leonardo, but 1pm is actually too early (7pm here, usually busy with the kids then); 3pm EST would be more manageable.

ok here's where we are so far. Time will prolly be about 3 pm EST to accomodate some Euro's, on a Saturday that hasn't quite been determined. Here's the thread over at TLB. So far we have about 5 or 6 for each team, which is great.

Ok lets put a date to this thing. How does Saturday, Feb 2 at 3 PM EST sound?

Corsair said last night that he's not likely to be able to make it in under a few weeks I believe. It's also kind of short notice I think.

I'd like to give everyone a lot of notice so if we could aim for 4 - 6 weeks from now that would be ideal IMHO.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of Feb 16-19th would probably give everyone plenty of time to make arrangements to be there.

Also, I wonder if perhaps we could setup some times where TLB is running Grand Bazaar so we can practice Scrim. If pubbies join then they join, at least it will give everyone a chance to get used to the map and the lanes.

Most of the folks at TLB play BF3 regularly with myself and Lark being the only at Fragtard that play with any regularity.

Thoughts?

While I think 4-6 weeks is a bit excessive, Feb. 2 is bad for me as my wife won't be home so I have the kids alone that day.

There's a lot of people who don't play much so we'll need a little time at least to practice. Everyone we'll be playing at TLB play regularly (I know, I play with them a lot of the time) so we'll have our work cut out for us.

I'm hoping we can get a bunch of us on during the next few weekends and play on TLB's Server just to get acquainted with the map, it's lanes, peek spots, and callouts.

That's why 4 weeks.

a later date like the one you've picked would of been great, as my mobo would be back by then....BUTl unfortunatly Saturdays put both me and Fireblade out of the loop. I dont finish work till 7pm EST and Fireblade starts work at 2:30pm EST.

We both have Sundays off if you ever set up another one in the future and can consider a sunday!

If anyone wants to join but does not have the game, BF3 (base game, no expansions) is apparently 12 bucks on Origin right now (US-only, maybe Canada too).
