vBulletin Upgrage

There have been a lot of changes made to the later versions of vBulletin, one of particular importance being a rather sizeable overhaul of the vBulletin Stylevar System.

Since this is our own Custom Theme and it relies very heavily on default and custom stylevars, I'm forced to upgrade the forum to the latest version if I'm to complete this theme any time soon.

Should you visit the board and see the following message:

Sorry, the board is unavailable at the moment while we are testing some functionality.


We will be back soon...

...don't panic, it just means the board had to be shut down during the upgrade process.

Upgrade timeframe should be no more than 20 - 30 minutes.

Now the hard work begins figuring out what went wrong with the templates after the upgrade. I really have a love-hate relationship with this stuff.

Just as I feared there were a lot of template conflicts and after mucking around aimlessly for what seemed like hours, I reverted all the templates to there default.

What this translates to is the forums looking like dog for the next while until such time as I can reverse the damage done and replace all the code changes I lost.
