VR users Beware the new version of windows 10 !

Got the new version of windows forced on me earlier this evening, it auto updated my graphics drivers which although they work fine with EVERY OTHER APPLICATION (if anyone from iracing is watching then fix your shit) totally screw the tracking on VR .

We did find an earlier set of drivers which stopped the tracking from weaving about on its own ( totally unplayable when iracing does this in VR) but you also, as far as I can tell have to check the advanced settings in windows that stops it from re installing the latest versions of things or they revert back to the brand new drivers without you even noticing!

I am going to try once more to roll back my drivers so I can race this evening, so fingers crossed that this set works! I will update this further if I find anything new.

Dont know but new wins didnt install new drivers for me,they did enable Superfetch and prefetch again and I got stutters again

Considering I do play a lot of other games and will at some point depend on newer graphic drivers for games to actually work, I went ahead and sent a friendly bug report with a detailed problem description and lot of pointers to different iRacing forum threads with the same description. Not sure if it will resolve anything, but at least I got a reply from support saying that they believe the developers are aware of the problem and they will share the problem report to make sure. So... fingers crossed?

This didn't happen for me on the Oculus, everything stayed fine? That said, I did a big system upgrade right as that update released, so my install of Windows is super fresh.

This is a SteamVR exclusive problem in combination with (and only with) iRacing and nVidia graphics driver released after June 2017. As far as I know, the Oculus SDK never had this issue.
