iRacing doesn't pick number positions themselves. It's up to the car they scan. Also, different series have different positions. As for number itself, whatever you set on paint page will take priority in practices, hosted and possibly team races? Obviously, official solo races will have it different.

Yes but this is Blancpain. Afaik they have their number in the same general location on all cars no?

No as I said, an iRacing employee said this was from a 24h of Nurburgring race. Apparently it was common during that race for numbers to be on the roof.

FYI the Audi PSD has the number box on the hood, not roof. So they must've changed it.

Very nice that we can pre-order the cars and test drive during down time. Although them setting all of this up makes me a bit worried about how much down time they're actually planning .

Also nice that we get the paint files before the update comes out. It will be a little hard to see what goes where though. Also, they said that these templates will be changed probably today.

YAY! The car sounds pretty meh but it's also only a 1.6L.

This guy sounds like an old person trying to use computer terminology. But the lack of down-force and power confirmed my suspicion that the 2.0 would sort of be an in between car from the skip to the star mazda even if it is likely much much closer to the star mazda.

What the hell is an asterisk mazda?

For real though, it seems very close to the mazda and I can't help but feel the end is near for it, even if iRacing keeps the series going.

It'll lose some participation, but I don't think it will die off completely. It will be nice to have more open wheel content available.
