B2O iRacing 12 Hours of Sebring Team Discussion

@Noodleguitar your set is pretty nice , but the tyres were really high after 2 laps so i went down two clicks, it got faster and faster after that \o/
it almost geaered out on the long straights, can we go a bit longer on 6th without losing anything? 12 hours of rev limiter if we are following someone may snap our minds :D
Nice, I wasn't sure about the tires. And yeah, I forgot to mention the 6th gear issue. Originally I had the 6th gear ratio at something like 2.25 which actually slowed the car down as you shifted to 6th. I lowered it a bit but it still needs at least one click to avoid rev limiting. If it bogs down again we can always make 4th/5th a bit longer too.

Yeah I've always thought the car looked sexy as hell, but I didn't purchase as I always like to actually drive the cars I buy and this one was likely to be outta my skill set. However the idea of being able to practice with you all leading up to the Sebring made it seem worth the buy :)

Sebring is going to be a tough place to learn the C7! On the upside, if you figure it out at Sebring, everything else will be easy!! Don't feel bad if you drop back to a track like Daytona, Nurburgring, or Suzuka or drive it on some other smoother surface to get your legs underneath you before you try and tackle Sebrings bumps. If you stick with Sebring, just be patient. Take it slow, and dont try and tackle curbs or be fast. Just limits the bumps to the ones you HAVE to take until you're more comfortable on throttle!

Did a 1:56.9 tonight, but that was only once.

*Edit* - Now we are getting somewhere. Change in brake bias per Marc's suggestion and I've now run 7 laps in a row in the 1:56's with a low of a 1:56.3.

Looking forward to Monday! I need to get in on this, as I have a lot of catching up to do!

Sebring this week has the Blancpain at sebring daytjme/afternoon so the weather is mostly correct. IMSA is also at Sebring for anyone racing thr C7 this week but it is at night, the 12 hour is Daytime.

attached is Noels C7 set up and it is also in the filebrowser. I have done nothing to this as it already feels nice and stable apart from make the tyre pressures correct and lengthened 6th gear only as it was running out of revs down the back straight even without draft . seems to be good to go now.

e: Oops, jumped the gun a bit. I guess they haven't confirmed yet the tire changes are coming to GT3 cars. It's coming to the GT1 cars and some others tomorrow.

e2: Or not! Patch notes are up, every car at Sebring has the updated tires. Every GT3 car and the DP.

So can we confirm who's driving what prior to Wednesday so I can button up the paints?

While I'm excited for the tweak to the new tire model, I'm also realistic in that it's probably not the nirvana everyone assumes it will be. I'm sure many who practiced for this event for weeks leading up to it are now hoping their work has not been done in vain.

I will NOT be driving in the event this year. Just too much going on with my wife being out of town and my kids having soccer practice that day.
