For the Porsche team; @Bedo @QuadroMan1 .

I'm using the v3 setup, but I think there was some confusion about the toe change when I complained about oversteer. I changed the toe to -1.0 on the front but I see you went to -2.0. My fault, I said one click down, which is more negative. I've been running -1.0 so far which I guess conserves the tires a bit better but if you guys are used to -2.0 I can run that as well.

For tire pressures I'm running a little lower than you Quadro, I think I have them at 1 click above the minimum but haven't really experimented with them.
That makes sense, you'd be a lot better at pushing the tires up to a higher pressure than me, Bedo already tends to run a bit higher than me it seems like. I'll try -1.0, I'm sure it's good. I haven't actually figured out entirely how front toe affects the car yet, just trying stuff out. Looked at your telemetry with the V3 setup pressures and you were definitely running the rears a lot hotter than your fronts, up into 195 where the tires really get shaky.

Maybe try the V3 setup and instead of going a click up on the fronts like I said, go a click down on the rears, I think that would work a lot better for you. If running a click above minimum feels better still I don't mind making the change, although I guess we could just change tire pressures for whoever is getting in the car.

Porsche is now uploaded and linked in the first post.

Please check this car close. Since iRacing removed the mandatory layers it was displaying some weird things such as part of the Red B2O in the window behind driver door.

Good news - house is going to be fine, water receding after some scary moments.

Bad news - I haven't really practiced due to spending the last two days helping neighbors fill sandbags and then sleeping, rinse, repeat. Had some fast food last night because it was too late and we were too tired to cook anything. Woke up this morning and now can't stay out of the bathroom due to what I believe is food poisoning. Thats all I got, I can't concentrate right now.
Wow Jes, take it easy and rest up. Life is more important!

Alright, it's finally clicking for me. Did my FFS, safely in the 8:16's with an optimal of 8:14. I'm fine with that race pace, and it felt comfortable. I think some of it is just getting used to this new wheel.

@noodleman @quadroguitar, I finally did a full stint at night. On the last lap the tires can best be described as wet garbage and the traction control as an electronic murderer. I spun about 3 times on my last two laps. Seems like you need to back off a lot to get them in the right temperature/pressure range again.

There's no TC on this car ;) Also you didn't do the click up on the fronts like I said, your rears were pretty far above your fronts in the 190s KPA range explaining the oversteer pretty easily. I would do the 1 click up adjustment to the front, put the front toe to -1.0, and after that if it's at night do an overall -1 click to the tires.

Or just to keep it simple, here are updated setups. Night should even be safe to run throughout the day too with the uneven pressure finally fixed. This whole week of tire pressure science experiments would've been a lot easier if I just evened out the hot pressures right away lol. Noel would definitely have to run these pressures a click lower all around just because of how much more pressure he gets built up.

However this is the difference between running 188kpa hot (8:35) and 180kpa hot (8:38). I wasn't even pushing, just a couple normal laps, it just gives free time. Not even in a "the car is faster but scarier way", the car is faster because the tires are more connected to the ground.

V4 set should run me and Bedo at good pressures during the day, then come late afternoon when there's a lot of shadow starting putting on click lower tire pressures. Noel would have to run a click lower overall I imagine but he's fast on 170 kpa hot, so obviously I'm not going to argue with whatever he's comfortable with lol.

Everytime this car has a major handling issue, I open up VRS and check the telemetry and sure enough, there's a tire running near like 195 kpa which is way too hot, or there's a 5kpa difference between the front and rear. This car is a lot more sensitive to tire pressure than you might first imagine.

Actually funny enough, Noel's keeping his tires pretty close together despite only have the front 1 click higher instead of 2, and hitting around 180 kpa despite running really low cold pressures lol. Like I said, he has what he's comfortable with, setting up the car for someone running on pace with pros is obviously a lot different. The new pressures would just be for me and Bedo mainly, since he's having the same issues with pressure difference that I was having.

I did notice when you make a few mistakes that the tires heat up and it becomes really slippery really fast. It doesn't take too long to get them back to regular grip levels again, as long as you allow for that to happen by taking it easy for a bit.

Last night I was trying to feel how the tires felt late in the stint during day time but I got punted into oblivion by a Mercedes. After that, a group of Mazdas on the straight mistook me for a tank on Tiananmen square apparently, screaming something along the lines of "shall not pass" at me right before disaster.

It might be my low tires pressures but there is definitely something wrong with the car on cold tires. When you pit out it's not too bad because you get to corners immediately but when I pitted out on the straight during qualifying it was wobbling around like crazy, almost snapping out of control multiple times just driving on the straight.

That can easily be fixed with a click up on the rear toe, would make the car feel more stable over the 24 hours in general too, so maybe not a bad idea. I think running the cold pressure higher in the front makes the car nervous on cold pressures, but it's a necessity for the hot pressures to feel consistent.
