6 Hours of the Glen - August 5th & 6th

I would be interested in the Sunday race, AMG or Ferrari, either one.

Also, is anyone running VLN this Saturday? I could do a stint or two if the later stints, couldn't do earlier ones.

I've been wanting to do one of these officially. I can run any stints that you can't. Would love to have you in the car.

Put me down for the Ferrari for second choice, Sunday only.

I am tempted to drive the Ford for this race as I find it much more fun than the Ferrari, there is a bit of an issue at the mo with the aero damage model though , the Ford is a wee bit fragile! so keep it in mind if you are driving the Ford for the moment

Hard to imagine we're talking about doing this crazy stuff again, but the 6 hours of the Glen is in two weeks. It's a six hour race and most people agree two person teams is the best way to go, though obviously people can form whatever teams they want.

Obviously this is a much smaller event than our normal 12 and 24 hour races, so don't feel bad if you're just burned out and don't care to participate. I also wouldn't expect quite the frantic pace of preparation you see before the really big events. I expect this will be a bit more low key overall.

I'll fill this in with more information later today I just wanted to get the conversation started and the team match making happening. I'll update as people commit to specific cars.

Marc, Mercedes would be my first choice, Ferrari second choice. I think Reid wants to drive too, but not clear on which day. Not sure about Bedo. Will find out. Reid and I are going to run VLN on Saturday in the AMG. If anyone wants to jump in for a stint, please let me know. We will likely be in a lower split, so could be very interesting.

Yeah, was talking about Watkins Glen, can only do on Sunday, the 25th, and could drive either AMG or Ferrari for Watkins Glen. Out of town on Saturday the 24th.

Will do VLN this Saturday, the 17th, in the AMG.

Where does one get the B2O paint for the Ford GTE? I thought about driving that in some of the upcoming races. Or I would at least like to have the paint for practice sessions.

@John Navara Ken's Master work paints are normally on Trading paints once he has done them for all to use, the one on the pic I did myself in photoshop. If you want an expert version I am sure Ken will have one at some point when the Ford gets used for a team event, if you want a recoloured version of my "blind man's potato print" effort, then let me know which colours you want it in and I shall spin you one up when I get on my other PC.

We have decided to postpone the Watkins Glen 6-hour race that was scheduled for June 24 & 25. As many of you know we experienced an issue during the 24 hours of Le Mans last week and we have been hard at work trying to determine the cause and get a fix out. The good news is we believe have found the issue – it is related to the track, not the race servers. We have not implemented and tested a fix yet. In the interest of being overly cautious we are going to postpone all big events until we have the fix implemented.

We plan to reschedule the Watkins Glen event sometime later this year.

@Nejtun The red that we had displayed on the previous endurance cars would be great. I just like running the B2O cars when I'm practicing. I've seen enough EcoBoost cars in the last week.

...however it does look as if there isn't such an urgency as previously thought. I'm relieved actually because, like Kinger, I'm wavering on whether or not I want to run this at all.

Same here. I'm really busy with softball on the weekends until mid July. Doesn't make sense though to push it back into a time slot where there is already an event or between 2 others. I'm not pressing to get a paint from you @Duke If Nate has something that's already done I can use that.
