B2O iRacing 12 Hours of Sebring Team Discussion

Initially I said I preferred a 2-man team, but it turns out I will be missing 4.5 hours of the race, from 16:00 - 20:30 GMT.

From what I quickly gathered, we have 3 people running the C7 right? Nejtun, Marc and myself?

I think that is correct Noel, I am available for the whole thing not sure if Marc is here for the start or not? depends when he gets back from work.

As it stands currently there is only Sam and I running the Merc as nobody else has shown up to turn laps with us.

Let me see what my team is doing. They are kind of being lazy and don't seem to be in gear to do the practice and setup work, so if they are remain non-committal tonight maybe I can drive with you guys.

This works for me. I'm hoping to walk out the door at work at 10 til, so I may or may not make it home before registration closes, but I will be there pretty close to it, and definitely before the race starts!

The C7 is a bit different after the patch, feels a bit floaty. made a few adjustments to put the ride heights back where they were and changed the tyre pressures and it feels ok. tiny bit bouncy out of the tight turns.
@Noodleguitar please drive this version if you get a chance , it is yours with changes as mentioned above , the rest is in the notes screen,

it still goes over curbs ok so I didn't touch the dampers . I am getting a bit of understeer in the medium turns and the car generally doesn't feel as "point and shoot" as it did before.

@Zac_Sonic iF noel doesn't get to see this before practice pals or make any changes then this version is going to be in the filebrowser for later.

Iracing has been up for a while yet , but if not for you then the test drive server has the patch tool on the right and it is patched as well

anyway i'll be there tonight hopefully we can get a setup as good as the old.

Here is a new setup. Increased the high speed compression and balanced the gearing a bit.

ken i've made some changes,
higher brake bias and 3 traction control are optional but they worked for me.

i've changed the front toe and 1 click lower front tire pressures. these combined give the car a more stable turn in with less understeer under braking.

could you try this set and tell me how much you hate it?

also i've put down a qualifying time of 2:02,450 is there any way i can see where that puts me?

That set felt decent Sam. I felt it turned in decently well and I didn't feel a lot of understeer. The only place I found any real issues were coming around the last corner, it doesn't handle the bumps well on power. It wanted to step out on me a lot there. This is true of any car, at any time, but this set in particular seemed less stable there than the B setup. It felt great on the rest of the track though.
