Man I can't believe you guys are talking about getting into the 29's, I have yet to break into the 39's

I did manage a 40.5 though last night (full fuel, no draft) and think I can hit 38's by event time but that's probably all the pace I'll find around here for now.

We'll need to button up the Teams this week if possible so I can have ample time to skin the liveries.

I'd say those who don't show up for #PracticePals this week at least once by Saturday should be considered a scratch for the event. I think that's a reasonable time-frame given how much time everyone has had to this point to commit.

Angelo signed Theo up so I assume they'll want to drive together. I'm guessing it's the same for Bedo and Deb?

I'm busy this week so I won't have time to race until Thursday at least. It's definitely a good idea to do some of those races even though the fuel and weather is different (time of day should be the same). Maybe I can even steal some iRating to make top split more likely but it's not gonna be easy with everybody practicing already for the N24.

good luck with getting the iRating @Noodleguitar make the dream come true! :p

bedo and deb should be able to drive together (if bedo attends practice)
as for theo and angelo, as of now i have angelo listed for our top team. we will have to decide who gets in and who doesn't. but that will be decided when we establish official teams (before the end of this week) ;)

but lets first see those unconfirmed drivers in practice. i agree with this week's deadline

I havent looked at the schedule, but yes Sam, if this weeks Porsche is running Nordschleife it is normal because next week they'll have dedicated official servers for the 24h race the week leading up to it, but by Porsche doing Nordschleife this week, it allows for an additional week of track time. They did the same at Sebring and Daytona with IMSA and GT3.

What time are the practices, just regular Practice Pals or are we setting up some additional practices? Not sure if Bedo can practice with us as he usually doesn't get home until late during the week, but if you give me some times, I can check and see.

We practice the same time every week at 8 PM EST the only exception being 7:30 PM EST for League nights.

@Sam Roselaar true Sam, I am NOT likely to be able to join this , I have surgery 3 days before which will leave me unable to walk (fun times) for a few days, makes it tricky to press the load cell :p

Unless it is cancelled I will sit this one out but still be around on TS for the duration, I will probably record a chunk of it though!

Ken, Marc and I did a porsche cup race and all took damage, ken had 5 mins or so to repair and the car was undrivable afterwards.

It might be an idea for everyone in their practice sessions to get heavy front end damage and let the mechanics fix it to maximum. It is worth making sure you can drive with severe damage as apparently they don't fix it all that well!!

Thats what I would do *shrug*

For absolutely sure driving the Porsche.
I like how this is the very first post after Sam's, but Sam has Jes listed under the "unconfirmed drivers (not yet seen in practice):" category...:p

By the way, @Sam Roselaar, Jes was in a practice with us last Wednesday...

Sort of..

Whether he remembers it or not...

that's why i asked if i edited the info correctly, because knowing myself i knew i had made a mistake at least once ;)

i fixed it now

Alright, I'm officially going into full preparation mode. No NiS (nascar) this week and very minimal dirt. Maximum Porsche Nurb attack mode, engaged.

We'll be on tonight at 8 PM EST if you're interested?

After last night I think it's imperative I get into the mindset that Lap 1 is a feeler lap rather than trying to get through the track like I normally do.

The line I took is the same line I've been taking in practices for a while now as was the speed but the car would not turn at all sending me into the wall. Even though I don't feel the impact was all that heavy, clearly the speed was such to destroy (I believe) the rear.

The car would not track straight at all and over 6 minutes of repair brought about no positive changes in handling.

Essentially my race was ruined on the outlap.

I did two Porsche Cup races last night on nords. The lower split of the one the other guys did, and then the one two hours after that. Was basically free iRating. Start from the pits, wait for half the field in front of you to die, drive carefully and finish.

Okay, I'll be on tonight. I can send Wyatt's setup if you want. I think the turn in on that setup is actually better. I did move the brake bias from 44% to 48% and the wing from 6 to 4. Need to test it a little more but it does seem to be getting into the corners better.

I've been running the VRS setup (from Rens) with the only changing being BB from 44 to 48%, and I've liked it a lot. I'll share it tonight. We can start working on a baseline team setup, with these two as starting points.

Sure, brake bias is something you can change in car, so we don't have to agree on that but 48% works for me.

On another note, I spoke to Bedo. His baby is due May 2 and said if he can drive he won't know to the last minute, so I don't think we want to count on him.
