Core
B2O Minecraft Forge Server

Hey guys & gals,
Curious if we have any, 'Minecraft'ers', here on the forum and or people interested in trying something new.
I was thinking of running a Minecraft Craftbukkit Survival server (basically vanilla Minecraft with Bukkit plugins).
It would be a whitelisted server, e.g. the server parses a whitelist text file for names allowed access to the server prior to any specific player logging in.
This is typically just a first line of defense for keeping the general riff-raff out.
I would be running a number of plugins and the server likely will hold, 'up to', 45 players/slots. (dependent on # of plugins, so probably closer to 30 player slots)
If you are not familiar with Minecraft, it is a Sandbox Survival (or creative) multi or single player game.
Here is a wiki link describing Minecraft: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Minecraft_Wiki
Link where it can be purchased: https://minecraft.net/
In survival mode, players are tasked with crafting their own tools, gathering resources, surviving the various zombies and monsters that come out at night, and building pretty much anything your imagination can come up with.
As collated by a pretty crafty and geeky group of individuals, the actual Minecraft map (or world) is nearly infinite, estimated at roughly 7 times the size of Earth. Each world is unique when generated and has various, 'Biomes'. Biomes are areas that contain variables specific to their area, e.g. Mountain, forest, desert, plains, swamp area biomes etc.
As a word of warning, Minecraft is addicting and a lot of fun!
As mentioned, if there is enough interest here, I would be happy to set up a server. There are many very fun pvp faction plugins, hunger games plugins and more. Or simply setting the server to hardcore and seeing who lasts the longest could be fun.
