cant see the vid. getting an error msgHere is the video AMG sent me. Not sure why they picked this one. I am driving behind the instructor and there are 3 cars behind me. At points the car behind me gets behind, at some spots I can't even see him and we have to slow downso this is not a great time.

Great Vid Ms. Bennett OMG!!Here is the video AMG sent me. Not sure why they picked this one. I am driving behind the instructor and there are 3 cars behind me. At points the car behind me gets behind, at some spots I can't even see him and we have to slow downso this is not a great time.
It was only AMG Driving Academy on the track at that time for two days@Deb that video was badass! Am I right in saying you had nobody beside you? That must of been great, no interference or people talking to you, just you, the car, and the road ahead (well, with an annoying black Mercedes all over the place in front of you lol). What a great experience that must have been, wow.
How would you have felt leading a pack or being out there on your own do you think? In my limited track experience it's a completely different ball game when you aren't following a "pace" car of sorts in front of you and you are left to your own devices. I know this from experience as on my first out lap at Brands I span it at Druids under hard braking and ended up facing the other way. I remember laughing and shitting myself at the same time as I realised I had several other F4 cars bearing down on me as well as a BMW GT3 car doing passenger hotlaps to look out for when trying to get back on the track. I ended up finding out just how little steering lock an F4 car has and almost beached it on the raised curb on the apex! Fortunately I was going fast enough (with a crunch that sounded expensive) to make it up the apex curb and from there got going as fast as I could on the grass and re-entered just before Graham Hill bend while trying to avoid eye contact with all the stewards shaking their heads (some laughing, some looking very cross)...
I actually remember thinking at the time "goddammit Jon, what did @Kenadian always say on the outlap in practice pals you idiot!" *In Canadian as he careers off the track for the millionth time on an outlap* "COLD TYRES! COLD TYRES!"
In my defence I was chasing my brother who was the first out the pits and he did the whole waggle the wheel left and right as fast as possible to warm the tyres in the pit lane and up Hailwoods Hill, whereas I saw all the stewards laughing at him and shaking their heads like "who da fuq does this kid think he is" so being the big brother I decided not to and pointed and laughed too, as you do. Play it cool like. Then I span it because his tyres were warmer than mine.
When I go to Brands Hatch next week with the Type-R I will probably be the only lunatic in the pit lane darting left and right (and probably get black flagged)...
