Day-Z Current position and planning thread

ok...not sure what happened....but when i play Dayz.....its like my computer doesn't have the horsepower to play the game... it's like everything is laggy ..if i turn it's really blurry... my guy moves in slow motion... thought it was my brand new laptop... but it plays BF3 at high detail just fine, i only use this laptop to game and visit ligite sites....like this one.... I do my Banking on this....so it doesn't go off road so to speak..... i have a special laptop for that..... i am wondering if its the Lingor changes we made the other day... so any ideas?? BTW i got GTA IV to work with no lag.... at all..i really want to play it now...lots...

ok. so there is talk of closing the dayz server....that's cool, i know right now it's a pain in the butt when script kiddies or adults come on. it can be administered, but it is a full time thing to do, watching the logs and stuff. I have seen the server full or nearly full and then have a scripter come on and literally kill the server, everyone leaves, all rage quitting...well just about. So with that....Quick if we are going to continue, which i know i am...... I am going to find another server and set up camps there, I am going to move the current locations, but keep the same general area...and move the stuff that is needed....the good Dayz goodies......

I would suggest a private hive server of some sort as there is less incentive for people to come on and spawn illegal weapons. Still some hackers, but less so. I have been enjoying some time on a private Takistan server recently.

Well, the private hive one can be made public, just needs some more work.

I'll make sure i'll set the hive up so others can connect their servers if they want to run private.

I just need to speed things up for the gameserver itself, i dont feel like hosting it 24/7 from my home, and i am not prepared to pay a shitload of money for a game that's going to be hacked to shizzles.

However i have early shift this week so i'll work on a solution starting this afternoon.
I'll look into hosting packages, EU based and/or US based... for a fair price....
That's if the offered server isnt available anymore.

Quick...I have set up a tent on the other server... so there are two...that's right two tents there now... Currently I am at the Fortress of Solitude, in the north, grabbed one more M4A1 CCO SD, and a few clips... make my way back tomorrow...
