If my stick turns up on time and I get things mapped I will certainly come along. Going to be interesting trying to remember how to fly things. It's been about 6 months since I last flew an aircraft and I'll need to remap to a different HOTAS.

Yeah that's the stable build. 1.5 is Beta, and 2.0 just entered open Alpha.

Edit, just remembered i streamed a part of last nights attempt at formation flying. Exporting the video to YouTube now so it should be up in a bit.

So I tried 2.0 and the Nevada map. To be honest it doesn't feel to much different from 1.2 but does load way faster and plays a little smother. The Nevada map is pretty cool, if a little basic but it's a desert so... What I noticed was when flying over a city, there wasn't much of a noticeable drop in frames. It's buggy though so needs more rounds of fixes but it's a start.

You're not missing much until it's further down the line. Stick with 1.2 for the moment.

I have both 1.5 and 1.2 installed.
So far i noticed quite the improvement with 1.5 compared to 1.2.

Didn't run into any issues yet myself but that might change as i currently only flew for about 2 hours.

You up for some tonight guys?

What improvements? I'm holding back from wasting HDD space for nothing.

From what I played Slider it feels like a lot of little things have been improved.

The graphics have certainly had a significant upgrade, I mean it didn't look bad before but now it looks photorealistic at the highest settings.

The sounds have been improved too, the afterburner audio for example is just awesome

It just feels better to fly too.

I certainly wouldn't call it a waste of hard drive space
