I'll have to try the Road Atlanta set and see how it feels. It never occurred to me to use it here because the tracks (in my mind) are quite dissimilar.

I would have though Oran a better fit here but it was horrible.

I can see initially, but if you think about it, its another hilly, bumpy track with quite a few elevation changes, fast turns and slow ones and a few in between.

Honestly my RA setup is a really good setup and it might be better for me to just use it and make minor tweaks to it rather than use a new setup on a weekly basis.

Perceptions a funny thing because I see Zolder as a dead flat track. After the two first chicanes there is a quick uphill/downhill section but calling them hills feels funny to me, they're more an oversized bumps.

RA does have the snake though which is fast turns and quick weight transfer between wheels which would certainly be an advantage in Zolders Chicanes.

For my purposes I'm trying simply to remove the springiness out of this car because it's just too much. I feel like I'm driving on a very heavy box spring mattress rather than a car lol.

What's the fuel strategy for today?

Yeah I guess you're right its not really hilly but it's not totally flat either. It is a good in between, as opposed to the next two weeks tracks (Bathurst then Sebring).

Learn to run Fuel Buddy in the background!! From my preliminary testing I think it was saying I needed around 33 gallons total... but I didn't get a long fuel run in. I'll try and do that before the race, but to be extra safe I'd start with 28 and add 8 gallons. That's probably too much but we'll see... not as if I can maximize running with super light weight anyway....

Who needs Fuel Buddy when I have you Buddy :)

With all the recording stuff I got going now, virtual audio and background processes I won't be installing another app for a while (I hope).

I'm starting to have issues with Windows 7 but I hope it holds out until later this year when I upgrade the SSD, Video Card, add another 2 x 2TB Caviar Blacks, and install Windows 8.

...not to mention pick up a HOTAS.

I've actually removed Setup Sync as well because its pretty much useless these days.

Anyone take any screens or anything like that? I forgot to save the replay.

So along the lines of what we were talking about last night... what if we put up a server sunday night with 1 hour practice and an hour race? I can't think of a better way to prepare for a race honestly. As I've said, practice can be so different, even if you're trying hard to emulate it.

Here is a copy of the replay. Anyone running the SOF tomorrow 7pm PST? I think I'll be doing it just because I didn't finish the whole thing last night..

Just another friendly reminder:
V8 Supercar SoF is tonight at 10:15 PM EST/7:15 PM PST

Full fuel load -5 gallons got me to the end yesterday, but I never turned a sub-1:30, so I'm gonna carry -3 gallons tonight

Not sure I'll make it tomorrow for the race. It would be an ok one to drop, that's for sure. Even if I do I'll have next to no practice... so I'll be just coasting around track (still will result in at least 3 resets probably)

Congrats to Zac on an excellent finish at the mountain. Good results and only 1 INC. Maybe we should not show up to the race more often?

Next week is Sebring! Goody!
