Ryzen definitely likes RAM speed. I'm using DDR4-3600 CL16 with my 3950X. If I were building an Intel system I'd probably not pay for anything more than 3200mhz RAM.

OMG, what a process just finding the parts right now!!!!!!!!! Mobos, at least the ones you want, are out of stock everywhere or you can pay an astronomical premium. I had a preference for 3 M.2 slots if possible, although perhaps a little overkill, but trying to avoid the MSI Godlike price, I have ordered the Gigabyte Aorus Master AM4 AMD X570 DDR4-SDRAM Mobo for the foundation of the build. PS will be the Seasonic Prime PX-1000, 1000W 80+ Platinum, CPU is AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler, and RAM is G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB. Fractal case with tempered glass window. I'll keep the 980Ti until the 3000 series releases and then see what I can get. I already have 2 1TB M.2s, so those will go in as well and I'll probably wait to add a third as I see how this machine operates. Thanks so much to @Ogami Itto for really taking the lead on finding parts, we have been at this for 3 days, and he is going to do the assembly. Probably won't be ready until close to July given that some parts won't be in as quickly as we would like. I know now more about computer parts then I ever wanted to Now, the most important question what color(s) should the lighting be
