Bathurst time!! I know I didn't hear a single groan of disappointment at that! 23 turns and home of the most 0x deaths in iRacing's history! Gotta have the balls to use all the pavement between the walls but also have the brains to not bury it into the dangerous walls. Also gonna have to keep your eyes peeled unless some poor soul grabs a wall in front of you and comes to a stop around one of the many blind corners!

Should be a blast!! Hope to see you guys there!

Open Qualify Session: Full Fuel - 7:30 PM EST (60 minutes). Drivers must record a clean lap within 103% of the fastest recorded lap time. Those who cannot do so are placed at the tail end of the field for the Qualify Race.

Full Fuel - 8:30 PM EST (30 minutes - 10 minute Warm Up + 20 minute Sprint Race). "Opt In" Inverse Grid based off results from Open Qualifier. Drivers outside of the 103% rule are automatically placed at the tail end of the field.

Do I need to get an invite to the actual league on the iRacing service to race with you guys tonight? Not sure how that part works.

Awesome! Thanks for your interest! Hope to see you on track tonight!

Keep in mind that League starts about 30min earlier than other #PracticePals nights, but the first hour is an open qualifying session.

Yeah, I won't be there first thing unfortunately, but I'll be home in time to turn some laps late in the open qualifying. West coast and all that.

I'll be around as well, hopefully at the start, otherwise a little later, gonna try to get some sleep so I don't doze off during this boring track which everybody knows I don't like ;).

Wow, that was a really fast paced race tonight! Thanks to everyone that continues to come out, especially at a track that is as brutal as this one. I know it made a long night for some of you, but I appreciate you guys toughing it out! Congrats to Pancake for surviving near-disaster early in the race to take the win! My apologies to Noel for the tap that took you out of the fight. You and Pancake were set up for a great race to the finish based on your lapped times, but I kept thinking that I should be part of that when really I just got in the middle and ruined it.

The idea that we can clear Meatball (Black Flags for Damage) is interesting. I really don't see a problem with it, but I'm glad we tried it and found out because it now opens the discussion. Honestly, if the car is broken, the car is broken and you need to take a quick repair so that you're not a danger to other cars on the track, but Pancake, you didn't look off pace or a danger to anyone (at least not anymore then the menace your 300 ping usually makes you out to be), so I don't see any reason to force someone out of a perfectly good race like we were having just because iRacing 'thinks' you have too much damage.

Noel, did you intentionally set the wind at SE 48kmh? Seems a little bit steep, but this is Australia so gravity was probably pushes it down a little harder..

Anyways, here is the results!

Yeah, I set the wind to maximum force :).

I don't really mind clearing meat flags if they're not justified. If the engine is going to blow up because the damage then that will be penalty enough. But if you can't keep the car straight anymore because of steering damage, the flag shouldn't be cleared.

What a shit show that was from me last night. I think it was just not being used to running in that kind of weather. I hope. Looking forward to the next one!

Clearing meatballs only when the car can be safely controlled at race pace is fine.

I feel you Jes, I was right there with you. I was just pushing too hard, trying to look better than I am in my first race with you guys. If I had relaxed and been happy with my 2:09's and 2:08's I would have finished no issue. Just overdrove it all over the place.
