Despite my personal wants, I think we'll go with the Glen. It's a very popular track and everyone has it (if you don't you should grab it!).

Looks like I have a B class license 2.5 SR.
That basically equals Pleb :)

Good to see you back at the wheel Littlest of Ps. You were actually part of the reason I went to check out Fragtard because I watched the video of Duke, Shilka and you messing around in the MX-5: "If it's purple it's probably broken."

You should post a link to that video for nostalgic purposes.

lol oh yeah wow I remember that I think. It's an honour to be part of the reason you are here sir :) I have no idea where that video is now but it would be good to watch it again for old times sake

Will I be able to use the Aston Martin in the GT3 series? If so I'll buy that (2 reprezent teh UK) and Watkins Glen, which leaves one other track to buy to get a discount. Any suggestions? I already have Suzuka, Daytona and Sonoma.

EDIT: Never mind I see the GT3 will be a seperate car released later. boo.

Ok Mercedes it is.

No the current (and only aston right now) is a GT1 car. If youw ant to represent the UK you'll need the McLaren. The upcoming GT3 season is posted earlier in the thread... let me see if I can copy and paste it.

Upcoming Blancpain Gt3 sprint/enduro series (starting monday)
Nice! The BSS schedule looks really good:

1. Sebring Intl.
2. Indianopolis Road
3. Spa
4. Okayama
5. Sonoma Cup
6. Monza
7. Interlagos
8. Brands Hatch
9. Silverstone
10. Mosport
11. Nurburgring Combined- Gesamstrecke
12. Philip Island

My goal is to run every race at least once this upcoming season. Would be great to have anyone join along the way!
If you don't have Spa, Mosport, Philip Island, Sebring, those are all great, popular tracks. Nurburgring is obvious. Monza is popular but getting old. Sonoma is awesome but isn't used AS MUCH. Again, you can support the UK by getting Brands Hatch and Silverstone though I'd avoid it if you haven't bought it. It's old and they need to redo it (they've rescanned it but haven't done anything with the data)

Thanks Daunt, I'll pick up Watkins Glen for Friday and Sebring for the first race of the season. I'll pick up the other tracks I need as I go.

Cheers for the video post too, I'm watching it now and laughing, I'd almost forgotten all about this :icon_lol:

Brands Hatch is an absolute must have. By far, one of my favourites. Flow is just right, car just goes, specially between T4 and last turn. I love it. Any car will drive nicely there, specially GT3. Hit that line right and watch it go.

Patch 1 delayed until next week, bunch of graphical fixes and GT3 BOP. New cars have reduced drag and BMW and Macca will gain 5 and 10kg respectively, I feel RUF OP again. Remainder will be equal to real life.

Interesting. Thanks for the update. I did feel like the Macca was a bit OP but not enough drivers were in it to really tell. Reduced drag will mean less drastic drafting effects, right? I'm a fan of that.

This isn't going to negate this week's races? They really need to push these fixes out before the season begins. Not that big of a deal but still a bit odd. Some might get antsy but if it's necessary then I'd rather them delay W1 by another week and just have another "week 13" and call it... week 14!

If anything little easier draft. Last night I had hard time getting past Audi on back stretch of Ratl with low wing. We'll see. Who knows how they code it. Late update is almost expected with 2 new GT3 cars.

I'd think with less drag, the front car is getting less wind slowing it down and thus has a bit higher top speed, and that translates to a smaller discrepancy between the speed of him and the car behind him. Obviously the car behind has less drag, but if the front car has less drag to begin with, it's less of a hindrance to him.

Is the BMW that good that they need to nerf it even more? I just don't see how the BMW takes a hit and the Ruf is left alone, that makes no sense to me.

I'd expect this week the BMW to be very strong but it handles bumps and curbs like a champ and isn't affected much on bumpy tracks. It's also the reason is was so OP at LRP last season, the car was a rock.

BMW had most downforce of them all, hence lowest top end and best cornering. 5kg is so little, it shouldn't make a difference.

I get that, I just think it sux to be getting even the tiniest of nurfs ye the Ruf remains untouched.
