So far, my impression of the Audi is the baseline is terrible and if I'm forced to use it for the league then I'm doomed.

It reminds me very much of the old Macca that had that spinout threshold, that once the backend started slipping out, there was no going back. Coupled with an incredible intolerance for curbs, it is not an easy drive. A lot of oversteer out of corners / snap oversteer made the Tourist run impossible for me, not to mention the springs.

Might be great on brakes but I honestly haven't gotten to the point yet to see it. Haven't really practiced much on circuits I'm super comfortable with either, so there's that.

Will have to put quite a bit of work into a reliable setup. Depending on what they do at the end of week 13, if necessary, I'd like to create a baseline for the league to take place of this one. I'd make it a fair baseline, not tailored to just me.

I took the FR2.0 out for a spin and it is an awesome car. It feels amazing and the tweaks iracing made to the sounds is epic. Gunna have some fun this season between that, the MX5 and maybe some GT3 (if I have to).

Kyle, I have to say, FR2 even appealed to me much more than I though. Might even do an odd race here and there. It's not at nuts as SM And you know how much I drive downforce cars lol

Fenders suck Daunt. They're the consoles of race cars.

The FR2 is awesome. It's like a happy medium that is faster than the skip and not as nutty as the L79. Think I might try running it this season.

I did pick up the Merc, the Renault, and the McLaren F1 because I needed to. Maybe one of these days I'll hop in and actually try the Renault...

If you don't like open wheelers, ask for a refund for F1. It's an absolute nutjob. I weny full out on Suzuka (track I like) and I was like 4 seconds off pace lol.

It's not that I don't like them. They just don't interest me as much. Purpose-built race cars just aren't as appealing to me as a road car that was converted into a race car. The F1 interests me just because it's the bleeding edge of motorsports and it's amazing that we even have a car like that.

I'll never really drive it, most likely, though I'm tempted to jump into a couple races just to see how bad I get schooled. That is crazy to be that far off pace, after I assume a few good laps.

We can jump into a practice one night, but from what I heard, car is more nutter than FW31. It's fun, but I have never seen so much power in a small package. First time I tried pitting out, I spun around in the stall. No wonder there is 8 gears. On pit limited, even 3rd will cause wheel spin. Not to mentioned gingering the car on corner exit. But...once car control is sorted, ERS and DRS kick in, which I find mind boggling lol.

Yeah I'll need to borrow Noel's button box... I have no where near enough buttons for that shit. And I CANNOT remap my blinky lights.

We'll try it out. It was pretty entertaining.

I just find a decent setup from someone I know drives like me and have a DRS button. You only need other stuff if you know what you're doing. Even then, I haven't seen guys fiddle with it too much in race.

What do you mean about blinky lights?

Flashy headlights. I remapped one of the precious six buttons I have on the wheel to flash headlights. I really need more buttons.

I have a G29 so have plenty of buttons I signed up for monthly recurring until an offer comes out then I'll renew for a year.

The official series requires at least B license. Otherwise you just need a GT3 car. With Audi R8 and Merc AMG coming to GT3, and Aston possibly next season, RUF is in its last season. Ford already got kicked out. Welcome back! It's quite the season you decided to return, lots of new stuff.

Yeah looks that way Slider. So I guess I'll need to pick up another car soon. Not sure which one to go for. I do like the look and sound of the Merc if I'm honest.

What track has been decided for the race Friday btw?

Nothing set in stone yet. Seems halfway between Long Beach (A tech track) and The Glen.
