So if anyone is interested in turning laps and getting better at the track instead of arguing like little school girls, I'm gonna host another 4 hour practice session.

Join at your leisure.

Or don't.

This is a guilt free zone.

I got down to an 8:32 flat last night and wish I could put together a fully clean run because sub 8:30 is there, I just always mess up somewhere.

Passing is quite literally taking life into your own hands as you often seem to get an off track (at the bare minimum).

Here is a race lap of 8:47.4 from me. It's not a perfect lap but it's the fastest clean race lap I've managed so far.

Sorry for rFactor 1 graphics but it's better than 3 FPS I suppose.

Talked to Naid from Crimson on the phone just now. I'll be heading down there this weekend to log some laps and set up OBS on the motion rig if I feel comfortable enough to do some stints on there. If not I'll set up on one of his static rigs.

I know right now we have three dedicated drivers Noel, Zac, and I. I believe incndry and Jes were interested but haven't seen them practicing or in the thread for a bit. Hoping to get a schedule up this week. It would be best if I can do 4 or more hours down there to make the trip worth it plus giving me enough travel time and some change to get used to my home rig. I'll share some more info on teamspeak later.

Zac any chance you could share me some settings for a triple screen broadcast that will help with speeding up the set up process? It's going to be a real basic stream from down there no overlays just game capture and webcam.

Got some good testing in today down at the sim lab. Comfortably running 8:50's and fastest was an 8:48.2 Was only able to do 5 timed laps. Unfortunately might not be able to do any streaming unless we use another pc and a couple webcams unless I pick up a capture card this week. Too much load was getting horrible stutters and fps drops when entering the GP track, T1 and leaving GP.

Hi guys,

My name is Bedo. Maybe some of you might know me as MockRacer (www.mockracer.com)

I'm interested in joining your team for the 24H Nurburgring race. Davey reached out to me today, via Naid from Crimson Simulation, and asked me to introduce myself here. :)

I understand the race is only a week away, so I'll just cut straight to the chase and show you guys one of my laps on the ring so you can get an idea of my driving. It's morning weather, so it's a little faster than usual. My iRating isn't the highest because I generally race mostly hosted and haven't had the time to focus on a single series.

I've been driving exclusively the ring since it was released back in December. With the C-Spec I can consistently run within .5 sec 8:52s at a very comfortable and safe pace. I can push it as much as 47s on a full tank and be clean. After that, it starts to get not too clean, and a little crashy. :(

I have a setup I would be happy to share with you guys, as well as a nifty spreadsheet I've developed over the past year and a half to easily create a driving schedule. I've participated in all of the iRacing team endurance driving events. They are a lot of fun! Unfortunately for this race, most of my teammates are unavailable, and since I've really been looking forward to it, I was hoping to join you guys. I understand some of you are very fast, so would be happy to learn from you. :)

I'll be around tomorrow on Naid's hosted session and on the teamspeak. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Speaking of Naid, I visit him quite often. He's a great guy. Here is a fun lap I did on his Bodnar setup with the F1. It was quite the joyride. :D

Hey Bedo, welcome.

Nice introduction, and a very nice lap! Looks like you balance the car quite a bit by using the throttle and brakes simultaneously.

I think you would be a good addition to the C-spec team, unless Zac_sonic or Incndry have any objections. With you on board we would have 5 drivers on the team: Davey, Zac (Marc), Inc'n'Dry (Angelo), Bedo and myself. I'm Noel Luneburg on iRacing.

Very nice paints by the way, I especially like the teal wheel colours :). We have got a Band of Others paint by the way that we're using in these events, which should be updated this week.

We've also got a fairly basic stable-ish setup but I'm no C-spec setup expert so we still have time to try yours and see where the preferences lie.

You mentioned a hosted session from Naid today? What time would that be? I'll be around for Practice Pals, somewhere between 20:00 - 21:00 EDT.

We haven't set up an iRacing team for the C-spec yet so we should do that soon. There are a few things to discuss here:

Name
Probably "B2O Endurance", maybe added to that the car number or "SP 7" which was the 991 GT3 Cup class in the real race. Or just "C-Spec".

Car number

I quite liked #101 but I don't mind it that much. Except #69, I do mind that :p.

Wheel color
Probably the default red.

Paint

Will be updated by Duke later this week. It's the default RUF paint with driver names and the Crimson logo(s).

Time slot and race split
The big race will be at the 13:00 GMT time slot, which is also most likely what RaceSpot will broadcast. I know Kyle wanted a later race but I'm sure what the current plan is of you Audi guys. I'm pretty sure by now that one driver can't sign up both cars so it would be difficult getting into the same split. On that note, it would be cool to get into the top split but I'm not sure if 4.5k iRating will get us in there, at Daytona it didn't but that was a single event race I believe.

By the way, 61% of the cars entered actually finished in the real race. Then again, we don't have rain in iRacing or, well, hail.

As far as the schedule goes, I can race at any point in the 24 hours and up to 8 stints. My preferred hours would be 19:00 - 01:00 GMT. And 09:00 - 13:00 GMT on Sunday.

Thanks! I'm not sure when he will put up a hosted session. I checked with Naid around 10AM and he was waiting for Davey to swing by. He mentioned Davey is 3 hours away from him, so probably sometime in the afternoon. In the meantime, I can put one up. I'm also on the teamspeak right now, so I can chat if you guys are around and want to drive.

Speaking of drivers, I mentioned this to Davey as well. I have another teammate, Richard Schouteren (the guy behind sim-lab.eu), who also drives on the same pace as I do, and is from the Netherlands. He is interested in joining as well if you guys have a room for a 6th driver. I could be very beneficial for covering the time zones.
In the past we've had good experience with 6-8 drivers for a 24H race. Just a suggestion. :)

Where can I upload my setup?

I also have a time scheduling spreadsheet app that makes signup very easy. The way it works is everyone on the team blocks out their availability times. The team lead puts in a driving schedule based on that, and can re-arrange the times within the availability slots of each driver.

The sheet produces a running order, and everyone on the team can see the time they have to drive in their own timezone.

It looks like this:

I can set it up for the team if you guys are interested in using it.

The schedule spreadsheet looks very useful, would be nice to be able to use that with our team.

Davey indeed mentioned Richard to me as well. I wouldn't be against him joining, however, 6 drivers is quite a lot if you ask me. Even for 24 hours. That's just my opinion (I like driving the Ring as much as possible :) ).

Maybe we could field 2 C-Spec Teams?

I'm fine with doing only 2-3 stints.

Let me know your timezones, and I'll setup the spreadsheet, and we can see based on the availability how you want to slice and dice the times.
