Refueling during race in Blancpain is not allowed

I'm not really sure how I missed this but it appears as if refueling during a Race is not allowed in the Blancpain Sprint Series:

FOR EVENTS RUN ACCORDING TO CASE D: two races, one "Qualifying Race" and one "Main Race" each with amaximum duration of one hour

REFUELLING is forbidden during the races, in the qualifying practice session and the warmupif applicable.

During the free practice sessions, it is allowed only in the teams' garages. Cars may refuel intheir garages during the installation laps before proceeding to the starting grid.

This actually makes things a lot easier as now all we have to worry about during the Pit Window is Tire Changes.

This is a good thing as it only helps keep the balance in that fuel strategy is no longer a strategy.

So for the "Qualify Race" we can still run 30% fuel (which we could up to 50%) and for the "Main Race" I'd suggest we just run 100% and be done with it.

This of course assumes we'll start running 1 hour Race Sessions eventually. If we're to keep it at 40 minutes as it is currently we can probably drop the fuel amount a bit.

With fuel quantities I'm just trying to strike a balance for everyone as some may struggle with the transition from a light/fast car ("Qualify Race", low fuel amount) to a heavier and more difficult to balance fully fueled car ("Main Race").

Anyway, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the matter on how much fuel we decide to run but as of this upcoming Friday we'll no longer be adding fuel during Pit Stops.

I can't believe I missed this :icon_redface:

I did not know that either. Interesting. I like the change, honestly!

I'd vote for a 50 or 55 min race. something we can fit in a 1 hour session (with 5 min of practice)

I think the quali race needs to be 50%. At midohio I finished with .6... I'd easily have ran out of fuel at somewhere like monza or spa. I might even advocate though to set the cars up exactly the same between race and quali race, so make them both 100%.

I've been guessing on fuel since the onset so I'm not surprised to hear of this. The fact we've not run out of fuel yet in session is quite surprising actually.

Making both fuel loads identical is far easier to be honest and I'd love to run full 100% for both Qualify and Main Race if everyone is on board.

It also makes things easier setting up the Race because even though I've done it a few times now I still struggle with setting it up properly.

Yeah, I don't see a problem in keeping the fuel in both races at 100%. That's the default value so the fixed setups are designed for a full load.

Too bad though, I liked a little fuel strategy :p

Ya I know but now there's even more balance than before. Now the series will truly be about the Racing both on the Track and In/Out of the Pits.

This is going to be epic.
