1. maybe we should keep in mind the possibility that i can only do single stints because of my spooky wheel. i'm going to do a stint or 2 now to see how the wheel reacts. pray for me.

2. why is anson registering us? aren't we aiming to get into the highest split possible? a split with porsches preferably?

@Skid_Marc_ I have not heard back from Jeeve yet on putting the names on it so the only name on it right now is mine. If I don't hear back today, maybe we need to go with the default B2O paint. I may have the file on my other computer. I will check when I get in from work.

Hey Sam, I'll probably log on around 7 EST later this evening to discuss setups etc.
As for the registration thing, I think the idea was to try to get as many of the B2O teams in the same split as possible

1. Noted. That is no problem, I'll adjust the schedule accordingly.

2. a) We're trying to get as many teams into the same split as possible. We happen to have a lot of drivers between 1750-1850 iRating, OR teams who can average their iRatings into that window.
2. b) No, we're trying to avoid the Porsche's. Driving for 12 hours around Bathurst is tough enough, but the Porsche's are a nightmare. They definitely feel out of class climbing the hill, but then you get to the straight and they are incredibly tough to pass. Not to mention, being with the 2nd or 3rd split Porsche's would probably be okay, but, depending how the session's fill up, we could be with the worst of the worst. Better to just not deal with them.

Tomorrow after work, I'll start practicing and setup building for our BMW. It's later than I wanted, but I'll be ready in time. @Kelley G Will you be on?

I worked it out with my daughters mom, I actually won't need to be gone for a couple of hours mid race. No reason to change the schedule, just know that I'll be around during those hours if need be.

@Anson Bennette I think this setup so far seems to be a good compromise. It turns a lot better than my original set, but doesn't have the extreme oversteer that Sam was complaining about last night. Really only took out a click of toe out of the rear.

Luck is yet again not on my side

Yesterday my wheel started doing some weird stuff. Like activating random buttons on my wheel whenever i was shifting gears. I thought it was just overheating or something but today it kept happening no matter what i tried. With the help of Marc and Nejtun i tried many things. I´ve even dismantled the whole wheel. What i found inside did surprise me but it didn´t help fix the wheel. Long story short, my wheel isn´t fit for an important endurance race anymore. I will have to drop out last minute once again i'm devastated but i don't think there's anything i can do.

i've talked with Marc and Nejtun about getting a new wheel and i've come to the conclusion that it is better to get the best wheel for me than to rush into buying something new. which means i might miss Sebring too because i have my eyes on a wheel that won't be available until 2018-03-16.

i'm hoping to be behind the wheel and racing with you guys again asap.

I’ve got my times down to 2:07 consistently with the v3 setup. I find I really stable. Tweaked Bias and stuff but that’s driver preference.

@Kelley G did a 2:05.4 PB decently comfortably. Race pace will most likely be in high 06s to mid 07s for me, pending traffic. Setup feels great. It's nice to be back in the BMW. Haven't driven it since 2016 24h of Spa.
