just did my first GT3 practice since months! your video really helped me @Skid_Marc_ so thanks for that! my best lap so far with your set is a 1:20,347. i haven't done a full stint yet, so that's my next goal along with consistency.

Busy at work, so I'll be practicing this weekend. I might have a C7 setup somewhere, don't think anything changed since last year?

Put in a full stint at Road Atlanta with the C7. @Deb @Slider

VRS Stats
36 laps
2.02L/Lap
Fastest Lap: 34 (1:15.420)

Left is new setup (V3.18), Right is original (V3)

Be easy on the curbs in these sections, to avoid losing control.

Be careful with these two curbs, as the car will incur damage. You have to take care of the front bumper on this car to avoid a mandatory 3min repair.
Esses: Don't hop this curb on the right.

Final Turn: Don't run off the end of this curb.

@Sam Roselaar @Anson Bennette

Made a couple changes to the Audi Setup. Seemed a touch faster, and handled a little bit better over the stint, but the tyres still fell off abruptly (actually worse in percentage), but this time just the last two laps. Car acquired a really weird oversteer, VERY slight, in the left hand turns, maybe due to the tyre pressure change? Otherwise, it's just because I'm slaughtering the left side tyres 'til it won't turn right, but the right tyres still have all the grip in the left? I felt like I was thrashing the car pretty good last night, so I can't really swear it WASN'T a thing on the old pressures.

As you can see in the picture below, I forgot to drop the left rear 1 click to 134kpa, but the setup I shared does have that change. Haven't turned a lap to see what difference, if any, it makes. I think there is a lot of tweaking that can be done to the suspension geometry to try to balance out the tyre wear across the tyres.. Daytona Prototype's tyres look so much more even. I'll work on it tomorrow some.

One final note, the time spreads looks as follows:
Fast DP's: 1:14
My DP: 1:15
Fast GTE's: 1:17
Avg GTE's: 1:18-1:19
Fast GT3's: 1:19
My GT3: 1:20

It's a pretty tight spread across the field, and I've seen a few DP's running 1:18's, and one DP has joined each of my hosted sessions and run 1:21's, which is a huge FeelsBadMan...

Some GTE's are running 1:21's, as well.

Bottom line, traffic is going to be difficult this race! Make sure to focus on where each car is better. GT3 is going to be best in the corner, even out-broke a GTE car that was trying to pass me on the straight but didn't have the top speed to pull it off. There is nothing to gain from doing that, and a whole lot of fuel can be saved from coasting down the hill and letting the faster car get past. DP's shouldn't have that problem with either GT cars.

All GT's; Try to be very forgiving with faster cars in T1 and T3, as it is near impossible to pass again until exit of T5.

DP/GTE; Do not pass slower cars into T5 or T6, or dive-bomb T7 or T10. Instead focus on beating them on the exit of T5, T7, and T10a..

Updated OP:
Edited "Track Info", because apparently Road Atlanta doesn't have 33 turns.
Corrected the Start Dates (First race is 13:00 GMT Saturday, Second race is 01:00 GMT Sunday), because I can't read.
Corrected "AEST" times, because I can't do simple maths.
Added "Incident Limit: 100", because this is still a stupid thing and its important to be aware of.
Added "Field Size: 50", because it was made available.

Those pictures pretty much show an average lap from me :p

I won't be running this race by the way. I wasn't sure at first but I can't afford to practice when I have to finish my thesis and work assignments. I can still make the fuel charts of course.

Gonna take a look at that Audi setup tonight and try to get in at least 1 full stint. Need to get down to a few 1:20-somethings hopefully

I'm going to do another hosted session tonight. I know that their are official servers online, but I'd rather focus on the Audi setup before doing some traffic practice.

Same as the others, this will be a hosted practice with 100% track usage. I'm going to close the session with the usual password, but feel free to share it around if you know people want to join!

Time: 8:00p EDT
Password: sheep
Length: 4 Hours

Hey all, I realized last night that I got my dates all mixed up. I didn't realize this weekend is thanksgiving and I will be out of town all weekend, therefore not able to participate :(. Im very bummed as I have been looking forward to this race all season.

I'm going to be back in the C7 Prototype tonight. Likely just going to run some open official practice, and I have no idea what time. Traffic is going to be absolutely key in this race, especially with the fuster-cluck that will be the GTEvGT3 fight!

If @Anson Bennette and @Sam Roselaar are good to go with the Audi, then I'll plan to fill out the C7 team, and I've edited the OP to reflect this..

I've made some changes to the Audi setup, but it hasn't really had much of an effect on lap time or tyre wear. I haven't done an FFS on this setup yet, but I dropped Toe-in to 3.0 on both front wheels, and increased the Toe are things that I'm trying with it. Overall, even with the wear, the car is super consistent. It only drops about 0.5 seconds over the course of 40 of 45 laps. It's just the last 5 laps that I have to noticeably baby it, but clearly I destroy the tires obnoxiously, anyways...

If it over-steers or "rear-steers" too much, I'd knock the rear toe-in back down from +0.6 to +0.1, and you could knock out a couple clicks from Rear Spring Perch Offset to raise the ride height to 154, which is pretty normal in the Audi.

Thanks, i'll give this set a go. Didn't get to run tonight, so i'll see how it feels tomorrow night. Once I can do 40 laps at 90% intensity with a decent-ish pace, thats fine with me

Will be sad not having you on the Audi team Marc; that last race was great fun. I totally understand tho. The GTE/GT3 will be a real shit show. Sam and I are probably bonkers. Then again, who ever said Audi drivers were sane?

I'll practice in about an hour from now, for about hour, maybe two. Got to go out later. I'll be on more next 2 days.

This actually might be last year's setup from someone here. I've adjusted it ever so slightly.
I still can't figure out HS dampers on this thing. It just bounces all the same, no matter what setting I put them on.
