Was going to stay up for this but I have had a super busy morning and got nothing left ! :D Catch you all in the sign up mates :) I will be on pretty early anyway to do a quick shakedown of my equipment.

Awesome race! Troubles were mostly caused by lack of thought process in certain teams, for us at least, otherwise, 11th to 2nd is pretty good. Pole sitters won it.

Wow, what an absolutely fantastic introduction to endurance/team racing!

Just would like to say thanks to all of you in the B20 community who made it such a great event (it really does go by much faster when you participate instead of just watching on stream) and a HUGE thanks to those who normally wouldn't drive the RSR, but jumped in to make our team for this event.

@Slider - You absolutely crushed it! Not only did you give us a really great starting position on the grid for the start, but you gave us a clean car at the end of the first stint which made it possible for us to be competitive all day. Not to mention a fantastic drive to finish the race out when the car was far from aerodynamically clean and people were driving like crazy folk :)

@Bedo - Not only did you give us a better setup to work with, but you drove like your hair was on fire in your stints and put the team in a great position to win. I just feel bad that after all that effort you put in I put the car in probably a questionable spot and essentially killed our chances to be atop the podium :(

@Deb - Thanks for being so kind to an enduro newb and for being there in my ear during my stints at the wheel. Your lap consistency is definitely one of the reasons we were able to finish where we did. Excellent job installing RoboDeb 2.0 in the night stint! LOL!

I'm looking forward to doing it all again with you guys and gals in the near future hopefully.

If it weren't for that one numpty team that kept wrecking in front of me at the end, we'd be on the lead lap. But, not being caught up in them wrecking 2 other cars on last corner, is ok with me too :D

Definitely an exciting race this time around. Last one for me was pretty uneventful.

What a crazy race!!!! Its like the first 8 hours all was good, everyone was driving reasonably but once it got dark all the zombies came out to attack us

But sure enjoyed driving with all of you somehow we held it together in the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE ;)

Bummer of a race for Jes and I, but not because of either of us really drove a bad race. We were solidly in the top 15 after a 39th place start (hint: Don't try and Q on a setup you've only practiced a few times). I spun off in the hairpin when a back marker startled me with "trying to be nice". As I was trying to re-enter the track safely, I hit some kind of hole in the world and it popped the entire back end of the car up and destroyed our splitter/front end. I had to pit pretty much immediately as I was down 15 kph and probably two seconds of lap time. It was only two minutes of repairs so we came back out in the sight of a top 20 still. Almost on cue as Jes was coming in to pit the engine popped. 45 minutes of repairs and relegated to a 40'th place.

As always @Jes_971 it was an honor and a privilege. Despite the bad luck I had a great time and will always be happy to have you as a teammate. Endurance events giveth and endurance events taketh away. Sebring is quickly becoming my demon track where I just can't get a good finish.

@Kinger It was a pleasure driving with you Mike! You drove pretty stellar as well. Goes to show that no matter how much it seems like the victory is in the bag, anything can happen in these events. :) Overall it was an excellent result and things could have been a lot worse.

You wouldn't happen to have a clip of the rollover event would you? As much as it will probably pain me to watch it, in looking at those photos it sure looked like I had placed the car in a bad spot.
I have the snipped replay, but can't attach it here. I'll figure something else and link it to you.

Was a bit of a sour-sweet race for me at Sebring. Has some decent practice, where I was within a second of Marc and Ken (big improvement for me). During the race, we had some issues early on, and after considering the fogging issues I had with the Odyssey at Bathurst, I decided to play it safe and do single stints instead.

In my first stint, I tried to be consistent and hold station, which went pretty ok. My second stint had probably the most traffic I've ever had to manage, and other than some odd net code contact, I had an absolute blast! Was probably some of my best driving since joining B2O and I really enjoyed it.

Things kinda went downhill from there tho, as my machine decided to start showing it's age. Loss of sound in Teamspeak, followed by a couple BSOD's later, I decided to call it a day instead of having a pc issue in the middle of a stint.
Thanks to Ken and Marc for being so understanding, and being such awesome teammates (I think it's the first time I was part of a team with Ken actually). I was kinda gutted with how my race ended, but on the bright side, I seem to have sorted out the issues.
That said, I can't wait to upgrade my Pc and pedals in May, so that I can finally start actually contributing, instead of just making up numbers :)

Sebring, the track that continues to defy me.

It was an honor to drive with @Skid_Marc_ and @Anson Bennette who showed utter class and resilience given our start.

I put in a pretty terrible Qualify effort gridding us dead last or close to it. Even though I did my best to remain clean, there were issues resulting in aero damage initially followed by suspension damage on the second incident.

Even the benefit of hindsight doesn't do much to gain clarity into what actually happened as I'd likely do the same thing again. I just never expected a car inside on the narrow exit I take at Sunset Bend. I also thought I waited patiently enough to get through the extended incidents at Turn 8 exit carrying through Turn 9 but nope, brushed the front of a Mercedes facing me and spent 13 minutes in the Pits for my trouble.

I was pretty gutted when this happened and as usual my Team was supportive.

Given my goal of not putting a scratch on the car was clearly out of reach I decided to drive like a bat out of hell on my next stints.

Come what may.

Fortunately the race started coming to us and with twilight hours approaching, the track felt just right to go for it. I can honestly say these 2 stints are the hardest I've ever raced in an Endurance Event and felt completely at ease in doing so.

I've no idea why and I'm dying to figure it out?

@Skid_Marc_ got in the car for the final 3 stints and did a great job saving fuel. This, combined with a little luck, meant we could be racing for a potential 7th place with 8th all but locked up.

Then with the final stint left to go prior to checkers, disaster struck.

You know that little bump in the Pit Wall that is in the perfect spot to reach out and grab you as you try to setup for T1, that ALL of us have hit? Well, it took another victim that night ripping the right rear tire from our Audi.

The repairs required were longer than it takes to replace an engine so we finish the Race in the Pits.

...for me, this being the second time.

Similarities in both 12hrs are striking for me. We had a strong car but due to misfortune end up laps down in the early stages. We persevere and just as it's looking as if a strong finish is near, Sebring reminds you it's not over until it's over.

Over being a variable, never a constant.

History repeating itself.

I'll get you next year Sebring and if not next year then the year after. There is no way you'll be allowed to continue as victor, eventually my combined stubbornness and denial WILL wear you down!

@Brainling it was an honor and a privilege driving with you as well. I have done some thinking and I think we might have been victim of the current collision model. The way the collision parameters are set right now I think can allow for freaky things like what happened. Hopefully with the new damage model those types of freak incidents will be null and void. It was a hell of a ride and I look forward to future endeavors sharing driving dutys with you.
