So....I guess the real question now is: Who's willing to drive on a 3 person DP team? I'll be honest, having done a 24 hour with three people, it's not easy. It's a physical tole on your body and you won't get real good sleep between stints because at most your four hours between seat time.

I'll do it, I can prepare for it and I've learned some tricks to make it doable....but anyone going in knowing they are going to do 8 hours of driving over a 24 should go in eyes wide open.

You won't have to worry about that because it appears as if I too have to pull out from this event.

I had a health scare that my friends convinced me was a Kidney Stone. Since I'm no strangers to similar forms of agony I overreacted and saw a doctor today about it.

I used to suffer bladder infections due to biking long distances in the rain and pissing needles is just pure agony and terrifies me.

As it turns out I'm not in enough discomfort for it to be a Kidney Stone. Instead the doctor is convinced its muscular so it's far less severe but no exactly painless.

I have very little lateral upper body movement that isn't' painful. Currently I can hardly get in and out of my car, bed, or anything else that requires complex movement of the torso. Driving is quite literally, agony, and I simply cannot do it.

So after this soap opera wall of text I'm going to back out just in case. I don't know how I'm going to feel over the next few days but we're too close to the event for me to be a question mark.

It's just better we put our resources into a single DP Team at this time.

I apologize for this last minute notice but believe me, I've tortured myself over this decision and tried desperately not to make it.

I'll be on Friday night to finalize the paints.

Well, tonight was.... enlightening...

Not sure exactly what the track temperature was (I turned KAPPS, VRS, and everything else I could think of off to try to reduce blinking. It may have helped, but it certainly didn't go away...)

Bottom line, Daytona in the heat is plaugued with brutal oversteer. After a rough first hour though, everyone went up one click on the ride height (push-rod length in the C7DP), and it seemed to absorb most of it just with the one change. Also seemed to make the prototype more stable under braking when transitioning off the banking in T1 and the bus stop.

Optimum lap times stayed in the 1:39.5 range.

I'm sorry to hear that you're out, Ken, but glad that it wasn't as serious first thought. That doesn't help the pain you still have to deal with, or the loss of you on the team, but hope to see you back up soon! Take it easy this weekend!

I've updated the schedule with a first draft of the C7 schedule.

I've updated the schedule with a second draft of the Ferrari schedule (gave @Bedo a second double stint, @Deb is single stints only.)

I also sent invites to @Anson Bennette and @Sam Roselaar for "Band of Others Endurance - Lake House"

Any chance my first stints can be closer to the start of the race? Last few endurance events my first time in the car has been a bunch of stints in and it's agonizing. For once I'd like to drive a little earlier If it's a huge deal to change don't worry about it.

@Kenadian Sorry to hear you won't be able to run but as we know, health first! hope you can be around if possible to enjoy the event with us though for as much of it as you can Get well!

@Skid_Marc_ just to be sure +1 click up of extra ride height at the front of the C7 ? I will have a test of this as soon as possible so it isn't a surprise tomorrow! Which team are we using for the C7 as we all need to be admin etc.

Yeah, be sure to give it a shake-down in Max-Hot weather. It is a tiny change that tightens the car up a little bit. I'd rather have a tighter car and work to loosen it up with ARB's, rather than a loose car that I'm trying to tighten with ARB's and Brake Bias.
