After driving the Porsche Cup car I've decided I'll be driving either the Audi or Ferrari. The Porsche on the new tire model is pretty different IMO but not in a bad way at all. I just don't feel comfortable driving that car amongst GT3s on the old tire model. I know there will always be a difference between the two cars. I just feel that if both were on the new tire model it would be a little less of a disparity. I'm also worried that a lot of the GT3 drivers might not have driven the Porsche cup on the new tire model and/or at this track. Which leads to not knowing what those drivers are having to deal with and putting everyone in unneeded situations.

NOEL!!!! WHY YOU PUT 15 TONNES ON THE BIMMER?!?!?!
Seriously why would they do this? The BMW has a bloody food mixer for an engine, it really really doesn't need anymore weight lol. Guess I am just going to have to make the car more dangerous :D

I am shockingly bad in the Audi at this track. I just can't find any pace. The 3.2 setup seems incredibly understeery, until it's not when it becomes snap oversteery. Both Ken and I noticed the issue pretty quickly.

I tried a recent VRS set and it was so oversteery I couldn't drive it. I couldn't even get over the mountain without either losing it on turn in or on power down.

Maybe we need to do some setup work, or I just need to turn more laps...but I am significantly more comfortable in the Ferrari so far.

Yes, I believe you will find that the setups get progressively more understeery as the number goes up. 3.3 being the most understeering of the bunch, but it was done intentionally to make it last the length of the stint. By the end of the stint, the car will barely be able to turn through Forest Elbow, but it loves to turn too much in the Cutting, iirc..

I'm honestly surprised anyone is spending a cumulative amount of time in the Audi. I think the Ferrari would probably suit you all a lot better.. Has the BoP actually made the Audi the god-tier car for the event? 'cause I'm struggling to imagine it, and even if it is the quickest, I doubt it will matter at the level that we'd probably be racing at.

No, it hasn't made the Audi that god tier. I was just trying to make sure I got some seat time in it in case the teams landed in such a way that I needed to drive it.

I'm kind of on the fence with the Audi. While I've layed down multiple 2:02 lap times with it (besting my personal best a few times over), the consistency of stableness is what worries me. This being an Enduro that is all about consistency and safety has me leaning towards the Ferrari. The Audi has a worrying roll of the dice at times with curb strikes.

I'm going to be testing the Ferrari today in practice. That will probably result in a switch to it for the enduro. I've been getting rid of some old driving habits and I think I will be able to be as fast in it as I was in the Audi. I won't be try harding as much in the actual event as that isn't usually conducive to finishing clean. It's just nice to run that pace in practice which leads to event pace feeling easier and safer to execute.

Could you share your Porsche setup @Noodleguitar ?
Absolutely. I was driving the Nurburgring setup before, haven't tried the Bathurst set yet.

When I drove it in cold weather (about 18 C track), it took about 2-3 laps for the tires to get up to pressure. Until that point it will be wobbly in a straight line and nervous and slow in the corners.

After the tires got up to pressure I thought the Nurburgring setup was very drivable. The only scary part is turning into Skyline, if I turned in too sharp there the car would nosedive and I'd lose grip on the rear end. Maybe the car needs a tick more wing, and I was planning to play around with the toe/cambers to see what effect that has on NTM v7.
