I talked to Ken and Jes last night, they are fine with it. @Deb do you mind if I start the race for the Ferrari team? If you want to you're more than welcome but I'd like to if you aren't keen to do it.

@Kenadian @Deb @Brainling I had a look at the schedule and it looks good on my end. @Brainling I know your dealing with an unfortunately unique situation. I wanted to put it out there that if for whatever reason you don't feel up to your last stint that I'm there for you. Absolutely no issues on my end with that.

Well done everyone!!! Glad we all made it to the end :D Once again a great turnout from B2O members!
Thanks to @Skid_Marc_ and @Noodleguitar for organising the teams and "prototype" spreadsheet thingy (still don't know if those work lol)
Special thanks to @ShadniX for sharing a car with me :)

Only 5 Weeks until Sebring! Hope to see you all there and hopefully a few more that didn't make it to this event.
I personally am exhausted after 12 hours on the mountain but what a blast!
Onwards to Florida!!

Top split shenanigans:
Youtube processed this video, so the timestamp is no longer correct. For those interested, here are some more timestamps of the broadcast:

09:07:50 : Massive Porsche pile-up in Forrest's Elbow (caused by our most respected Porsche of the split -- R&G team)
09:29:50 : Small punt by Redline Orange while Marc was being careful around an out-of-control Porsche
11:14:47 : How to become one of those people that nobody likes on iRacing
08:58:55 : B2O Porsche almost "causing" an incident by sensibly slowing down in a dangerous yellow zone. At this point we are just "running out the timer" (should we tell that guy we finished in P10?)

The more I watch from the broadcast the more frustrated I get. I know it's the casters' job to keep rambling on no matter what happens but it would be nice if they actually try to look at what's going on. Some more timestamps:

01:27:29 : Our first major damage due to a BMW punt, which was somehow our fault according to one of the casters. "In this part of the track there's only a couple camera angles". My dear fellow, this a 3D rendered simulation, you can have any camera angle you want...
02:09:00 : First hilarious assassination attempt from R&G team on Alex Arana that I noticed. Explained to us later by their driver as a "steering wheel disconnect".
02:41:15 : Marc "Gormack's" strategy of sticking to the left side wall before Forrest's Elbow didn't work this time :)

Bathurst, oh how ye giveth and taketh away. More than once yesterday I went from being in a good flow, feeling good, putting down laps to....ouch, that was a wall. I think @Deb was the only one who didn't hit anything of her own volition. I've watched poor @Kenadian's mega spin several times and still can't figure out what happened. @Jes_971 was a rock as always, just putting down solid laps after being at the hospital all night with his girlfriend. He's the real MVP.

Off to Sebring!

@Brainling mentioned something during the race that I have since reflected on. This community brings two important things to my life and hobby.

Levity is the first

...and in the spirit of some banter during the race the second is tenacious, persevering, determined, resolute, purposeful, dogged, indefatigable, unflagging, untiring, insistent, importunate, relentless, unrelenting; stubborn, intransigent, obstinate, obdurate, and pertinacious.

I love you guys and gal. Don't ever change.:)

That was a toughie but as always the Team persevered and clawed back a respectable result.

I felt this split was pretty full of entitled drivers who lacked patience and common sense. The only time I've seen that amount of headlight flashing was in practice with @afroducks. We literally had traffic behind us that would flash for several laps before finally managing a pass, bizarre.

For my part, I completely destroyed the car in the worst manner possible. Not only did I severely impact it's drivability I learned nothing from the crash. For some reason I lost the tail end and still cannot figure out why?

Some of the lol's though, unforgettable.

Matt's m00bs and Deb's slutty names will go down in history lol.

The headlight flashing was just crazy. Flashing me from two seconds back, like I'm supposed to pull over and let you by, is just crazy. I feel someone needs to do a PSA about blue flags and passing etiquette. I'm going to facilitate an easy pass when you get up to me in that case, but I'm not going to slow down and get off my line to let you catch up, especially over the mountain where off line = death.

My pecks and my DD wheels effect on them will indeed become legendary :D
