I know Nejtun and I have it as we were talking about doing some flying on PG this weekend in the whirlybirds.


I have no idea how to use the F-15 or A-4E as I'm waiting for the Tomcat to learn my jet so I wouldn't be much use I'm afraid

I could modify it to have helicopters...but I'm not sure what you'd do? It's very much designed for modern jet aircraft. Most of the flight distances are 100+ miles and almost every challenge has air defenses that would shred a helicopter. I can check though.

Oh no don't not do it just because of me, you guys go for it! I'll be joining in Jet ops once the F-14 is released and I'm somewhat competent in it, so expect me to join you some time around 2026

That Persian file you found EV looks interesting, will be up for that any time someone runs it

On a side note, I've been producing a short DCS video of the Huey ground attack op we flew on the 6th which has been a labour of love to say the least, the replay mechanics for DCS are a nightmare I've even gone and created a custom soundtrack for the movie in audacity which I had to learn too. It's been a challenge but I've enjoyed the process however frustrating it may have been at times.

If you can name where the movie soundbites (without googling it, it's Huey related but not the obvious choice is your only clue) come from you get 1,000 P points.

I expect it to be done by the weekend (hopefully!). This has definitely been my highest production quality movie yet so I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all as a proof of concept. The plan is (if people like it) to create some more movies in the future showcasing us all on ops in our jets and warbirds

Nice! I just dl'ed PG and installed on expansion SSD (ran out of room on the DCS ssd)
I might take a look at the mission later and add anything we want/need to have a similar experience to Cap Kobuleti. (If the mission maker allows it)

Was a lot of fun flying with @Nejtun and @ElektroVodka on Persian Gulf yesterday. We got humbled a couple of times but overall we did quite a bit of damage to the target.

Hi guys, please go HERE and download the latest version of the A-4E . unzip it to your c:\users\yourname\saved games\dcsopenbeta\mods\aircraft folder.

If you don't have that folder already the top folder in the zipfile is already the "mods" folder, just adjust yours accordingly if you already have the file structure.

I think the new version doesn't make servers fail the integrity check anymore but best to get this latest one just in case!

Could you change the tanker with Arco callsign to the same type as the "Shell" KC130? The boom with the basket is bugged on "arco"

I would love to design some missions where we actually needed to do a combat refuel as part of the mission...but with DCS's maps you're basically having to fly edge to edge for that.

Yeah it’s kinda a shame the DCS maps are not scaled a bit better for modern jet aircraft. I guess it’s hard to have super detailed maps that are so large without a huge hit on system resources.
