Free MMO Neverwinter

Same as tex in a nice guild we run tier 2 dungeons nightly need help let me know. Remember in this game the race class and ability setup in the character creation is key you can have borked char if you chose wrong. Read the shit when making your character.

All the classes are pretty good the ones that a wrecking shit right now are the Great Weapon Fighters and the Control Wizards.

The game is not to hard to level in.
One qualifier to Lefty's post for those who have read the Neverwinter forums:
Do NOT feel that you have to roll specific characters to fit in.
Eg. Mythic Dawn has made it policy to run dungeons with little to no glitching, AND to sort out fight mechanics based on compositions OTHER than the "If you have enough Control Wizards you can clear the instance easily" philosophy.
There are some fights that the party would have to wipe after downing the Boss; due primarily to (CRITIC ALERT) the Devs laziness when it comes to Adds continuing to spawn after the Boss dies.
This can be a problem for parties that aren't geared to the pinnacle of epic...
We are finding that the lack of Devoted Clerics, and Guardian Fighters in instance runs is, well...stupid.
My GF (for instance) is in high demand.
ALL classes are viable in the game; with all of them having strengths in PvE, and PvP.
And as Lefty said: Leveling is easy for all.
PS. Leftnut, don't be afraid to ring me up again if y'all are looking to fill out a run; Mythic Dawn has a growing list of players/toons available.

Smokey, DOA, my buddy Tyrant and I played today, did the CT dungeon. We're all lowbies though. Good game they got here, I'll be putting some time in it until work beckons come early April.

Unfortunately most of the Boss encounters have made Control Wizards an almost necessity
For sure Lefty; but you don't need to run four CW's. Which is what some foolish types say...
We're typically running GF/CW/HR/DC + Any and getting through without any trouble.
Castle Never this weekend!

CT and CC are nice entry level instances.
Instances start getting a little more demanding at level 30 though...
They do not require you to bring a healer if you can't find one (Cleric follower helps though).

Tag me up with a friends- or guild invite. I'm playing on any of my 3 toons:
Sophistix@produxial (Devoted Cleric, speccing as healer)
Moshpit@produxial (Hunter-Ranger)
MeatWad@produxial (Guardian Fighter, speccing as tank)

Had a good friend drop by yesterday that recently moved to Australia and because of ensuing hangover haven't been online for a couple days.

Thanks for the invites guys but I'm not gonna join a guild, at least not at this time.

You don't need a guild for this game except for the endgame PVP area. Just be on the friends list that way if we see you online we can fuck with you.

I'm mainly online in the evenings in the GMT+1 timezone. Logging back in as I write this now.

Just sent you both a friends invite, Leftnut and Tex. it's from @produxial

Its a little overwhelming! Still trying to figure out how to access those custom quests and why only 1 group quest is available. But for a free game its pretty awesome, just trying to figure out what I can buy and from who and with what currency.

It's mostly solo questing D&D style with a companion. You can group with anyone, but the content does not scale. Each zone has a final dungeon for 5 man groups. The solo dungeons are designed to test your skill level. If your getting pwned then you need to work on your gear, skill set or tactics.

By custom you must mean the foundry, they are obtainable from the message boards in the main town or just hit the L key, there are a list of foundry quests you can do. They generally will scale to your level. If you click the catalog tab, it will list every foundry quest in the system somewhere around 3,000. Also from the L key, hit the queue tab and it will list the skirmishes and dungeons you can do. This is group content and it will auto form the group and place you in the skirmish or dungeon.

There are several currencies, but the main currency is Astral Diamonds you will need this the most and has the most valuable. Gold is for buying potions and repair kits which are needed for any questing. Zen is used for the game store and is needed for buying expensive companions and mounts.

Thanks. I did some Foundry quests yesterday, the system seems pretty powerful. The mixture of currencies is a bit confusing at first - I couldn't even figure out how to get astral diamonds in the game until I ended up talking to literally everyone and clicking on all the butans. I did eventually get bacon. Still not sure where to get some keys to open 7 purple boxes I have though.

Unfortunately to open purple boxes you need to spend real money and they are under a RNG. Unless you want the coolest mount or companions in the game the purple boxes are a money sink. You can save up AD then swap it for Zen and buy some keys. I spent about 20 bucks on keys and never got crap and I never bought them again.
